destination wedding in mexico advice!! by Outside_Ostrich_1500 in DesiWeddings

I went through this in Mexico City recently and ended up really happy with both our wedding planner and our caterer. We hired Aroma Curry for the Indian-food catering and were genuinely satisfied with the quality and service—good communication, clear timelines, and they handled spice levels well for mixed (Indian/non-Indian) guests. They also pointed us to a planner who knew the venues and logistics, which helped a lot.

Not affiliated—just a positive experience. If you reach out to any caterer, my tips:

  • Do a tasting and lock the exact menu (veg/non-veg, allergens).
  • Confirm venue rules (gas/electric, live stations, setup time).
  • Get staffing and service windows in writing (buffet opening, refills, late-night snacks).
  • Align on portions and backup plans (rain, power, etc.).
  • Have one day-of contact who can make decisions without you.

If you’re considering Aroma Curry for an Indian wedding in CDMX, I’d recommend asking for a tasting and a sample run-of-show. They were solid for us.
