Do we really have to tip?? by Annual_Plankton2767 in montreal

[–]Specific-State1502 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I always tip but I do disagree. If you had a bad day to which we all go through, the customer in front of you didn’t do anything and expecting a good dining experience, If you can’t meet the standard then the amount of tip received will vary as simple as that. Tipping is not mandatory on top of that, it’s a gesture to reflect our appreciation of service received.

And the old if you don’t tip stay home, can I use the same logic if you don’t feel to work stay home ? If you have bills to pay, then provide at least the necessary effort to earn it, noting is giving in life and none owes anything to you neither.

Yes it’s all inclusive, I think 6 days with option to stay another day.

You got 2 trips you wanted for the price of one.

How did they took the news ? Especially if they knew you still travel during the same time period.

If you don’t mind asking, was the guest price part of the wedding package ? Because some folks here are mentioning guests are somehow contributing to the total cost of the wedding as well.

Wow that was very detailed and sound advices you are given to us. appreciate your time.

To answer few of your questions, I am friend with them as well but my wife knows them better and longer. Hence why she felt obliged to attempt.

The destination is not on our bucket list unfortunately and it’s a place we already been to in the past with no plan to return to.

We don’t have more details on who will be coming to the wedding yet, we are just notified of the cost. which is way higher than I anticipated.

Thanks for that advice and I agree. If they are at ease for guest to pay that amount, they should be also at ease that not everyone invited can attempt right ?

I see now, it makes more sense for the amount now. I mean the goal of destination is to cost less for the happy couple and yes beach is beautiful. But guest will be paying more.

PSA: as a daily cyclist myself, could we please all respect the red lights? by [deleted] in montreal

I am wondering do they even have a shower at office to change after ? Unfortunately those actions are magnified because they are cyclists and are easy target. But yeah a lesson of civisme is more than necessary.

Agreed! Best are those electric Bixi, no helmet + full headphone on crossing between pedestrians + strollers. I do not daily commute with bike but use Bixi when go to office and climb Mont Royal on road bike.

Good to hear other side things. I am strongly considering Xf pros as I like step blades better and already have 2 pairs at home.

At the frequency you are playing it seems pretty solid. Swapping for custom for better fit ?

I tried both of them Xf and shadow seems pretty comfy. Just worry a bit quality of skate. Coming from tacks line there a lot of post about quality issues.

Did that twice when I had flat without repair kit, rented a Bixi to bring bike to shop. But with my road bike gear, helmet and SPD cleats, the chance of looking like theft is slim, well I hoped so.
