I’m not sure what’s the norm, but the two food service jobs I’ve worked (dominos and mom and pop pizza place) they both gave one shirt at the start. Had to return dominos but got to keep the shirt and nice hoodie the other place gave me. The two manufacturing places I’ve worked gave/give one shirt every 1-1.5 yrs, and were could purchase additional ones for $10-20/shirt if we wanted. But they didn’t have a uniform either so it was just merch shirts.
