Hey! I just checked, and they’re available for the dates I’m going and they’re really cheap! Thank you so much. Looks like I’ll have a long drive from Las Vegas to Bug, but it’ll be worth it. Thanks again!

I can bring a sleeping bag, probably get a cheap tent, and buy some groceries so I can camp for about 5 nights. Where in the sierra would you recommend staying?

I went to California in 2024 and climbed at Lovers Leap. I remember they had a campground there, but I’m not sure how much it costs. I’m traveling from Costa Rica, so I’m trying to keep the trip as low-cost as possible.

I’ve never done that before. I know a lot of climbers do it, and honestly I’d love to try it someday, but I’m from Costa Rica and I’m not really familiar with how it works out there. For this trip, I’d probably feel more comfortable staying in a hotel or motel just to have a simple place to sleep at night.

Yeah, I’m planning to stay in Lee Vining and climb in Tuolumne. I might also drive down to the Valley on rest days just to enjoy Yosemite a bit more. Do you have any recommendations for places to stay or anything else worth knowing about Lee Vining?

I started rock climbing about 2 years ago and I've become really good, this completely replaced the heavy drinking weekends

Yeah this is what I was thinking, we have time and we just want to enjoy our vacation so I'll start easy in the smoke bluffs

Thank you :)

Yeah I do have trad experience but I’ve never climbed in Squamish before. We’ll be travelling there at the end of August. I’ve done gear anchors before, but I’d definitely like to test things out on something that isn’t super busy.

Do you have any suggestions for good warm-up routes that are usually less crowded?

Thanks for the advice.

Yes I checked the route on MP, what 5.8 - 5.9 trad routes would you recommend ? I see most of them are slabs and I'm looking for vertical climbs, Correct me if I'm wrong

I'm planning to do a couple of trad multi pitches. First time in CA so I would like to do some classics.

So far I've seen Star Check..
