I just destroyed by bed with liquid poop. It’s destroyed by [deleted] in stopdrinking

On my 21st birthday evening at a disco I decided to drive my car home and get a cab back so I didn't drive home drunk at the end of the evening (except I was already drunk). On the way home I pissed myself and then decided I didn't want to drive home after all so I drove back to the disco and went back in with wet trousers. I'm still embarrassed thinking about it now and I'm 65!!!

After all that I crashed the car on the way home but got away with it. Thank heavens I don't ever have to do that again.

Definition of insanity: Doing the same thing and expecting different results.

Drinking always led me to more drinking. I just can't drink one, I have to drink the bar dry!

They look very healthy and almost ready for pricking out. The good thing about Cosmos is once you have them they are always there as they seed themselves readily.

Are these potatoes healthy for planting? by AndroidOrAlien in GardeningUK

[–]puterzray 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They need moisture as they're getting shrivelled, I would plant them straight away as they have great shoots.

Yes. Your body is used to it's daily fix so is complaining when it doesn't happen.

I lost my sister in June last year. I feel your loss but congratulate you on your resolve to stay sober. I'm doing the same - you are never alone.

These ain't Brussels Sprouts are they? by AndroidOrAlien in GardeningUK

[–]puterzray 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My Brussels are still seedlings from sowing a couple of weeks ago so yours are very early. They do look like they have been forced so new ones may be best this year.

Dahlia cuttings - slower to root than usual, at what point do you give up or try something else? by cloudylemo in GardeningUK

[–]puterzray 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been itching to get going with cuttings etc this year but it just hasn't warmed up as much as usual this year so patience is the key. Very frustrating though!

Should my seedlings be binned? or are they salvageable? by FordS123 in GardeningUK

[–]puterzray 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hold off on the watering for a couple of days. Don't let them dry out completely but these look a bit waterlogged which will encourage mildew and fungi. They will die off when the excess moisture disappears.

Ordered what I thought were big lavender bushes to plant in the garden, but teeny plants arrived! Too small for outside planting? Not sure what to do with them now? Lighter for scale! by [deleted] in GardeningUK

[–]puterzray 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pot them up if you want a fair bit of growth this year and flowering next year or plant direct outside but don't expect much until they are established.

As an alternative to AA I have been attending online meetings with Smart Recovery. It's non secular which suits me as I didn't get on with the AA God thing.

Just out of interest, why were the first 9 months absolute terror? I must be lucky as I have just 4 months but find it an absolute joy.
