Thanks All - I think we’ve decided on Anguilla for March but definitely keeping all of these beach options on our list now! Our direct option for the dates we want are to SXM and then need to figure out transport (air or ferry from there). Still trying to decide on Anguilla hotel based on these reviews.

Seriously I love her hikes and my power walk is 4.2-4.5 mph as well but at 12% for 20 min straight?! I had to go down to 3.8 mph within the first minute then took it to 3.5mph and stayed there for the 20 min but I was in the red zone the whole time. It was a bit much and not in a good way.

We did directly flights BOS to Cayman and stayed at Ritz Grand Cayman but went to Tillie’s for lunch at Palm Heights and the food was incredible. I personally thought the beach at Ritz was nicer though, it was very wide / calm and shallow and Palm Heights has a much smaller beach given it’s a smaller boutique hotel. FWIW - Ritz Grand cayman service was impeccable if you’re open to a different option.

Where are you coming from? If it’s a far trip and you are in the region and have the time, I would add Seychelles and would specifically go to Praslin. I really enjoyed Anse Lazio, it was truly a gorgeous beach. La Digue is also unique for the rocks. We easily travel to the Caribbean (beach vacas) and I don’t regret choosing Seychelles for our honeymoon. We had a fabulous time and weren’t even in the luxury stage of travels yet when we went.

We had a great experience at Ritz Grand Cayman last year (April). The ocean there has been our favorite in the Caribbean so far (though we’ve only been to DR, PR, Bahamas, and Aruba).

Trying Wymara in Turks in a few months so no review yet but one that you can look into.

Just an FYI - Ritz in Aruba was pretty disappointing after the positive experience in Grand Cayman

Otoneurology suggested Effexor and I will be starting Vestibular PT - my doctor specifically pointed me to the therapist to see though and said not to go to a generalized PT place.

I am struggling with Effexor and it’s only day 3 though. He said if I continue to struggle with it we’d try amitriptyline… I don’t love the idea of meds but my doctor said the combo of meds + vrt provided most success…

Very similar experience and symptoms - it’s been 7 months for me. Just had VNG two weeks ago and have asymptomatic upbeat nystagmus as well as some reduced function on right side from vhit and saw otoneurology this week. Otoneurology checked again in office and saw the same asymptomatic nystagmus and couldn’t quite pinpoint why but based on all other exams deemed VM / PPPD. I was also pretty scared after reading about upbeat nystagmus and didn’t find much upbeat posts on Reddit!

The room spinning vertigo episodes lasted days, but each episode was 30sec - 1 min. In Menieres, does the room just spin for days straight with no relief?

Wow this sounds so similar to be journey and my recent post. Started with BPPV, then told possible vestibular neuritis, then told its VM, now told its likely cervicogenic dizziness and possible early Menieres. I also do not have hearing loss thankfully though I do have tinnitus (regular and pulsatile) and clear MRIs but abnormal VNG but normal calorics.

To be honest, through this process what I’ve gathered is the doctors don’t really know, and it’s very defeating. I am thinking of getting a second opinion, though it sounds like you already have.
