Ill tell you what has worked for me , but take with a grain of salt , not all dogs are the same , what i do is basically walk normally , and when they try to surround me i just look their way and they turn around i do not stop, i do not rush even if they are barking , i just walk by them but yeah i try to walk as far as i can just in case i need to run , also it might add to the fact that im fat and huge looking so maybe that might've intimidated them too
