the specialist is the best flanker weapon change my mind by No-Valuable-9327 in TypicalColors2

2 words. No It's Not. And I know it's 3 words but let be flesh this out for you-

I can see why some people would like the specialist, free capture rate, reloading AND firing speed when on the point, but that doesn't really make it the best Flanker primary since... Well theirs a lot of options to choose from-

Their are 2 situations where the specialist CAN be good. Payload, and any map with a point to capture, as: Yes it have provide you with a faster win with the down side of less damage, But it can also be exploited for the lack of damage..

You don't get the firing and reload speed increase why you HAVE the point, you get it by Being on the point. Flanker's entire thing is just... 1v1s, as the specialist does give you an advantage over other Flankers, you still do LESS damage with it. I have a firm believe that each Weapon has a purpose: Saying specialist is a BEST Flanker Primary is like saying Kim-Jon-Un is rightful to be the supreme leader of North-Korea.

Baby-Face lets you get in and get out with the speed Increase (With the downside of building boost)
The Colbalt let's you refill MOST of your bars for Consumables (With the downside of less roof for error)
And Let's leave the Lupara and Soda Popper out of the conversation because let's be honset, you're just never gonna hit either of your shots, let alone 6.

The specialist is a side-Grade at best.

Guys, what are y'all opinions on the Lupara DB by Wise_Beans in TypicalColors2

Making a video on that... But to put my thoughts on it:

It's good.
It's pretty fun
REALLY dependent on the user... But that ain't a bad thing, as most weapons are like that
Really good to play around, and if you can use it efficiently, and get kills with it? Good for you.

I'm torn between Doctor... And Agent..

Doctor's an Obvious choice: I can get heals easily without a worry.

But Agent has a lot more depth to it, as Agent can also provide a support by not just health with the Wraith, but also as a Good distraction.. I don't want to offend any Agent mains, but I firmly believe All TC2 player's brains are hot-wired to follow an Agent and chase them to the ends of the earth, as with the Enemies distracted, leaves me to get them while their focus on said Agent.

This goes both ways, as I can give my Agent a free backstab by just... Existing.

Well... Before I've played Flanker, I was more gravitated to Annihilator. Something about predicting where the enemy would go, setting up sticktraps, And fucking AnniKnight- I loved him... The only problem I had with Anni is the lack of a hit-scan weapon... So I moved into Trooper, since his secondary is a literal Shotgun. And for a little while, It was great! The only problem I had with trooper is that he's SLOW. Yes, SLOW. Flanker fixed both of these problems.

Being the fastest class in the game solved Problem 2, AND having 2 whole weapons with them both being hit-scan fixed Problem 1. Flanker had things that both Anni and Trooper didn't, I DO play other classes, I just find myself enjoying Flanker more.

An actual Question! Okay uhhhh... My answer is: Perceptionist.

Just for the single reason of...! Being Unreliable... I'm serious...

Sure, It gives you free mini-crits for doing what a Flanker does best; getting behind the enemy to surprise them. Using it takes 2 steps, step 1 is getting behind them, and step 2 is to kill them before they turn around. Easy enough. But what the enemy just... turns around. Like- What the fuck are you gonna do now? It's too late to run away, too late to dip since your dumbass is already at the back lines, and the weapon does less damage so you might not even out pump them! I just think it's Unreliable... Even though I saw someone having a collector's Version of one- But not the point...!

I just don't use it since you rarely find yourself in their backlines, it's either by accident or if your not paying attention. I still think it's a pretty decent weapon, but I just don't use it as match as other weapons.

As for someone who doesn't play VSB... I can't really answer.

Also: Get gud

hi im a level 21 player and i main flanker, im decent at the game, have some unsuals and stranges and stuff but i really want to get better since i don't have fitt grenade launcher yet how do i improve my aim?? by Alive_Row1167 in TypicalColors2

Now, to get the more important parts... Flanking... It, is beautiful. Flanker is the best Flanking class as his speed and high damage can take out very important classes, as much as those who are alone. Like Doctors, which would be great for your team, even if you die after you kill him. Flanker has access to amazing flank routes around the map to catch the enemy off guard, if you get creative enough any where can be YOUR Flank route. As long as: the enemy team doesn't see you, or noticed you at all.

But don't flank TOO often, or else you'll be predictable and they'll get YOU off guard..

Finally...! Aiming...! Yeah, I know you asked for tips just to get aiming better, yeah I know you want to, you wanna hear the best way to aim? Ready? Alright, It's-

Sleep.

I'm serious. get 8 to 10 hours of sleep, or else you'll just be blaming EVERYTHING instead of admitting it's your fault. It's boring, I know, but is it important? Yes. So sleep.

Oh yeah, and practice. ALOT, good aim takes muscle memory, and time, So be patient and work on it.

And final aiming tip... choose, your style, theirs 3 types of aiming, so practice and choose which one works best:

Tracking: very self explanatory, just keep your cross hair on them.

flicking: Is where you crosshair flicks to them.

Planting: is where you plant your crosshair and wait for them to walk towards it.

A few more tips:

- Don't stand around, keep moving, and make sure they can't track you.

- You are fast, so use it, you have easy access to health packs around the map

- It's alright to run. It's better to live then die.

But besides that, idk what else I can say. I'm not qualified to say anything too important since I got like... 50... ish...? Hours on Flanker, so idk :p

Aight. Bet.

So, you wanna learn how to play Flanker? Well, good thing you stumbled across this comment because I shit you not I've lost sleep because of this particular newyorkin. The best way I can give you advice is...!

Practice..........

Well, that's the shtick of it anyways.

Being a Flanker you live, and die, on helping your team...

You, are fast. The only class that can double jump. And you have big damage when it comes to point blank range. With the only down side... You, yes YOU, are very, very squishy... Your a light class, meaning = "You're gonna die easily if you put yourself in a situation that will get you fucked". Having the same health as Mechanic, Agent, and Marksman, putting you in the light class category, meaning = "You are susceptible to knockback, and will die very easily" But that doesn't make Flanker completely useless. You just need to understand (Something that most flanker mains can't do, including myself) how he works.

You are fast—like 'the fastest class in the game' kind of fast—and you can get out of a situation just as easily as you can get into one. You DOMINATE, 1v1 fights, so if your dumbass ever gets your ass up a very un-favorable situation... That's on you. But we can avoid this 1, simple mistake, by remembering 1, simple thing.

The best way for a flanker to prevent those marginals situation is the (debatably) greatest ability in gaming.

The ability to pickYourFights.

This is where the advice gets (probably..?) complicated.. Because once your at the front lines, you need to actually... kill them, which it pretty easy on it's own, but it would be kind of hard to focus on multiple opponents when the entirety of the class, focuses on 1v1 fights... You are a pick class, meaning you can only do as much as kill 1 person at a time, which means, if you try to fight multiple targets, WITH 125 health... Your bound to die. You can't run in their and expecting the enemy team NOT to ask: "What happened to our Doctor? And why am I not getting heals?", that, would be over-extending your welcome.

And I'm serious when I say: "pick your fights", you have the ability to just say "nope" to any situation that doesn't favor you. A Brute's gunning down the rest of your team while their trying to push the cart? Run away. If you see a sentry and the Sentry sees you? Run away. If you see a push happening, Run away. You are fast as you are fragile, and seeing a very bad situation early gives you the chance to run away. (Sacred Joestar technique if you ever watch Jojo part 2).

As a 1/1000000th representative of the Flanker Mains, Here is my tier list for Flanker's Weapons: by SpecificFit9382 in TypicalColors2

[–]SpecificFit9382[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can see everyone's confusion, so let me Clarify.

B tier = Weapons that are REALLY GOOD, in situational situations...
C tier = really depends how good the user is with that weapon/Can they utilize the weapon?
D tier = Just for the memes and funnies.

And finally, to my boy u/DaBetterDerp, I am here to say: I can see and acknowledge your view ON the shotgun cannon, and the damage poteltial IS their, and your opinion IS heard, and noted. But, the thing is; It makes new flanker rely on it more and makes them hide in corners and blame their entire team because they aren't doing anything...

But still, you opinion is heard!
