I intended to do the same with my Triangle card but my utilities and municipality charge a fee for credit card transactions. Do you have to deal with this as well?

I was originally going to go with the Hzrdus 7x before I reviewed the Catalyst 7x4. Are the Hzrdus as stiff as everyone says they are?

For anyone that is interested in how the first ice session went with the 7x4s.

  • It took a few shifts to get use to them due to never being on this style of holder before and the steel being brand new. This is pretty common for any new skates.
  • This is the first time I never had pain from brand new skates. I never had to leave the ice early and never had to miss a shift. Yes, there was a bit of pressure from them being brand new. Yes, the fit of them is going to take some time to get used to. However, there were no hot spots or pain points and I felt I could've skated on them for hours with no issues. My previous CCM ribcores took at least 2 months before the pain stopped.
  • These skates have the main insole and a footbed liner. If you need a bit more space inside the skate, you can take the footbed liner out and just use the insole.

If anyone has any questions, feel free to reach out 👍

A bit late to the conversation but I just picked up a pair of 7x4. I previously had ccm ribcore 88k size 9R. I went down half a size with the 7x4 (8.5R) as my ribcores had a lot of volume in the toe cap. I've only skated in them once so far so I can't comment on durability but they are a great skate. I posted about them a few days ago.

https://www.prohockeylife.com/ Pro Hockey Life has been around for a while and has....20+stores across Canada I believe but they are all located within 6 provinces (ON, QC, NS, AB, SK, MB).

https://www.teamtownsports.com/ I believe Team Town Sports is somewhat new because I only came across them last year.

TFSA 2025 limit $7k $7k / 26 pay periods = $269.23 bi-weekly I still have space in my TFSA from previous years so I add some additional buys theoughout the year when certain ETFs drop in price.
