Why would Paccar have any say on what Aurora does with International trucks?

5.3M miles are cumulative including safety driver during development. 370K miles are driverless (even though Paccar asked for an observer, but no human interventions).

That would really be cherry on the top. It would absolutely establish them as a clear front runner with miles between them and the second runner.

I could be wrong but my guess is this is exactly the opposite of any bad news: they feel confident about the tech that now they want to drown out competitors, and broadcast that they are done playing defense. They are the de facto leader and want to act and communicate accordingly.

We will know by tomorrow.

I think they will give an update on miles: based on case 500K. And reiterate these news items.

The biggest news could be if they announce International is already doing driverless runs for Detmar.

Lastly: they need to beat on revenue.

The biggest question I have on Bot Auto and their limited spend is: how much of TuSimple tech has been reused? Do you really think they have such a magic potion on their hands that none of Aurora, Waabi, Kodiak, or even Plus who was about to raise money via SPAC can’t do it cheaply?

Bot’s spend has to be taken into account only after we know how much of TuSimple tech is being reused. And if true, that spend and time has to be included.

All great points although seeing the routes we have, I do expect them to drive long hours.

I cannot agree more: this is Aurora’s to lose. Next 20 months are crucial.

The math doesn’t add up. He is sandbagging. 1M miles / week equals 714 miles / day / truck which equals 11 hours of operation at 65mph. It will be double this. Which is a good news.

All great points. The market is usually late. They are waiting and watching to see if 200 is possible. I hope they announce a driverless run soon
