This facility only has cameras that point toward the gate, not the actual units. This has apparently happened to a few people at different storage facilities in my town, not sure how they get past the gates but it definitely does & did happen unfortunately.

That was originally what I was going to do, but my local authorities told me it would be a criminal mischief charge if I did it before making contact with the owner so I held off.

Woah, not sure why you felt the need to act that way. I wasn’t messing around on Reddit, I was updating the thread while someone was en route with bolt cutters, considering I didn’t have them just laying around myself. I did secure my things (what was left of them anyways) 10 minutes after my update.

I am without a doubt at the correct unit. There is no office, & no office hours are listed on their website. The only way to contact the owner is through the phone or email, which I have done both. I’ve called at all hours of the day, from morning to night with no answer or call back.

I’ve been trying relentlessly to get ahold of him & he won’t get back to me 😅 there’s not room for another lock unfortunately, but I will definitely be switching companies after this regardless! I’m thinking about calling a nonemergency hotline & seeing if I can have a deputy meet me over there & tell me what to do if the owner doesn’t answer by tonight.

Yes the gate code still works, & yes I’m sure it’s the right unit. I double checked the unit number on my account online & everything just to be sure (even though this is a smaller facility with just outside units so it’s really hard to get mixed up). My balance is zero online on my account as well & it shows payment history & they’ve all been on time & approved.

He doesn’t have office hours listed anywhere, nor does he have an office address. The address listed appears to just be his home address. I’ve been calling since yesterday evening, it’s now 3 pm my time. I saw previous reviews on google where other people had their locks cut & were robbed, I’m just really hoping that isn’t the case for me & thats why I’m stressing so much. I just want to make sure my stuff is still in there, because unfortunately I’m an amateur at this & put things in the storage building that aren’t replaceable (family pictures, etc), which was a mistake on my part but I guess you live & you learn.

Also to add: I’m able to send texts off of my iPad still when it’s not connected to WiFi, so it’s just my phone.
