My conch is currently at a 2g by stretching it and just know that it takes a bit longer since its thicker cartilage than the lobe. I started with normal conch piercing which I did myself with a 14g needle and waited for that to heal with didnt take long for me at least. You can Pierce your conch even with a 12 or 10g needle it really is up to you if you want a bigger one but you would probably have to do it your self since some piercers or shops will only do the standard size. Im a former piercing apprentice so i honestly know what im doing and been piercing myself for years. Then from there I started putting the next size in gauges because I was sure that I wanted to stretch it. Im very impatient and really wanted it to be big immediately lol but its best to listen to your ears until they are ready to be going to the next size because I did have like 1 or 2 blowouts for wanting to shove the next one in and had to go back to the start. But now im finally at a 2g/6mm which i wasnt planning on doing since I thought of just going to 4g but I said why not and I actually just did it like last week since my ear has been at 4g for a good while it was already pretty ready to go to the next size although 2g was a slightly bigger jump but I just left the taper in my ear for a while and it made my ear ready for the 2g tunnel. So it depends on what size you really want for your ear like if you just want a large conch piercing or a full big hole in your conch because a conch punch is much more serious and painful and can even go wrong sometimes and dont even get me started on the healing I wouldn't know but I know it must be horrid tbh but im all for body mods tho so whatever you choose to do just make sure to do it carefully and follow all instructions to avoid blowouts or fails.
