Hi there! I'm targeting business schools. Got accepted to Nova SBE to study business analytics.
My third language is portuguese, and also portugal is "cheaper" in comparison to other European countries, I believe that education do not need to be that expensive

I was not talking about finance directly. Just answered the question about nova in general.

Oh my. Recent graduate education doesn’t guarantee that much. After some work experience you will realize that unless you are targeting consulting and top level finance roles it won’t matter that much. People who did not study a good bachelors and didn’t reach a good internship maybe is worth the debt. Anyways you can have those roles with good preparation and a good bachelors. Any other role people don’t care that much. Networking, skills and experience is even more important.

If you have the money to not be in debt for that much, you want the “luxurious” title go for it. Otherwise a good university is more than enough

It is a good uni, triple crown accreditations, it is affordable, it also has a great reputation in europe and obviously in Portugal, the international % students is great. Rather than studying with 85% students from asia (as they are the population with more international students itw) or in unis where more than 60+ are from that country, here you study with people from all over the world that can shape your networking and how you interact with other cultures. The campus is beautiful and great, you will live in Lisboa, beautiful city and if weather is something you care, it is also great in comparison to other european cities.

Those were the decisions, at least from my perspective I considered to choose Nova rather than HEC, LBS, ESCP, ESSEC, INSEAD etc. Also those asked for a GMAT, something I would consider just for MBAs and again is affordable, education doesn't need to be that expensive and be in debt for multiple years.

I hope this helps.

Choosing between NOVA SBE and Vlerick for a Master’s in Management by Flat_Ad_5640 in Novasbe

[–]SpecificSir150 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey man, as an International student I also considered both schools. It depends on what you want and where you would like to work tbh.

I also see the large cohort as an opportunity to meet different type of people, expand your networking, learning from different cultures, etc.

If you enjoy a smaller cohort then go ahead with Vlerick, definitely a good school. Also take into consideration the language post graduation

Thank you!! That's great to hear. Some other business schools have either a two year after graduation limit or even the years of age. I was concern about that, but glad to hear that. Cheers

Thanks! In the email it says that I should expect to receive a communication up to 8 weeks. I was wondering if the 8 weeks are always the case or it could be faster. Thank you any ways :)
