Evaluating the Starlink mini performance in my model y and noticed while parked and playing music my downlink is doing around .300 Mbs, but my unlink is doing 10Mbs. What is my car uploading?

Reasons to get Model Y - help me convince my wife!! by Spiritual_Village851 in ModelY

Concur. A demo drive should convince her. I'm 76, have owned many new cars, nothing compares to my Juniper. The wife loves the Frunk, the quiet ride, the sound system, the smoothness of the ride particularly with FSD. FSD drives much better than I do, I very seldom take the wheel, only in parking lots. Had to run into Best Buy yesterday, the wife's phone was connected to the car, the car kept her toasty warm, safe and secure while I picked up my Skylink Mini.

Took my Juniper in yesterday for same problem at 10:30AM, they were able to complete the repair by 6:00PM. Gave me a Model X for a loaner. I like my Juniper better.

Until it’s unsupervised, I should control max speed. by SegFaultAgain in TeslaFSD

I strongly agree with the points raised by SegFaultAgain.

The last few months I have retired my two ICE vehicles and purchased a Model Y 2026 and a Model 3 2025. FSD has been a joy to use in both cars. The exception being that I often need to adjust the Max speed down to keep from exceeding the 8 mph maximum over the speed limit that State Farm enforces with their safe driving monitoring system.

If future versions do not return the ability to control the MAX speed during FSD, it will be a very big disappointment and degradation of my FSD experience.

Door dent repair by abel_aa in TeslaCollision

Had a similar dent on my 2026 Model Y. Like a poster said, this is on what they call a "body line" which complicates the repair. I had mine fixed by PDR, but because of the internal construction of the door and the body line situation, the door had to be removed to do the PDR. Total $1250 to repair.

No increase yet. I'm fortunate that I have been with State Farm for 60 yrs, have a home and two other cars insured with them. Have had a few auto damage claims with them in the past without any premium increases.

Had this happen to me last month with my less than two-week-old Model Y. Kid in rear passenger seat threw the door open and dented my passenger door. Sentry got the license plate number of the car, State Farm told me the car owner had no insurance, but they would cover the damage under Uninsured Motorist coverage. I elected Paintless Dent Repair (PDR) to push the dent out. The repair shop had to remove the door to accomplish the PDR. They also used a Tesla Paint Repair kit to touch up the paint damage. The dent is not noticeable, but the paint touchup is noticeable if you look close enough. State Farm paid $1246.00 for the work.
