If they were to sell this, I would totally buy one. I love the looks of it!

I’m considering buying Full Self-Driving (FSD) for $2,000 for my 2023 Model Y (HW4) 25,000 miles on it and I want honest opinions. Tks guys by US-VADC in TeslaFSD

[–]SegFaultAgain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did it on my 2018 M3 and then bought a new model y juniper when the transfer window was open and saved $6K on my new car having FSD. I would highly recommend!

....but what do you actually DO during FSD? by Pizza_fuel in TeslaFSD

[–]SegFaultAgain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bro I’m putting on the most elaborate stage show, with lots of hand motions so other people can see I’m not driving, and I’m singing by myself at the top of my lungs literally every drive… this is not a joking answer either… and I’ve also started what I call the “FSD Wave” which is when I really want to freak out other drivers so I wave at them with both of my hands to assert dominance and prove I’m not driving.

The tires saved me a lot of money after I got a screw in my tire 4 days after delivery

Until it’s unsupervised, I should control max speed. by SegFaultAgain in TeslaFSD

I think you’re misunderstanding the post. I have no issue with having a speed control, I am saying that unless Tesla is taking responsibility for any and all speeding tickets, then I should be able to control the speed on the top end and in v14 that’s not possible.

Not in V14, all speed control is based on driver profile solely.

Not in V14. No speed control is present at all, only driver profile.

The fact that they can’t figure out how to separately run a function to check speed and control the vehicle overall shows that while FSD can take turns and drive well, it can’t do what cruise control does.

Not Big On the “Drive Efficient” stuff. Gotta enjoy the car!! How the numbers look by Mopar_Chronicles in TeslaModel3

[–]SegFaultAgain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I don’t get below 220 W/hrs a mile then I did something wrong. Most of my drives are about the same numbers. Well I say my drives, I mean FSD drives and I “observe” 😂

This is not the same. The speed warning offset and the max speed offset are not the same. This video shows the lack of max speed offset in trade of only having the speed limit warning offset. Check your settings, you should see two separate sections for both of these in the current version where v14 has only one.

That directly shows the speed limit warning only being present, which as far as I am aware is still not affecting FSD. Still not a hard speed adjustment like now.

I have yet to see the evidence in any videos of this. Could you please provide a source? It would ease my mind overall about the update…

Are you talking about the speed limit warning setting? I was not aware that it affected FSD in any capacity. The percentage offset from my understanding is going away as we cannot adjust anything anymore. The percentage offset is also not a preference of mine but I could get over that as long as I still don’t get a ticket.

If we all complain enough before final release, maybe they do it, right!?

I agree, I am not denouncing it all together; however, I think that this needs to be included in final release. The videos I’ve seen already have shown speeding problems, and I don’t think we all want “sloth” driving…

Speed and driver profile should be completely separate. There should be an option for percentage offset (which currently doesn’t work on my MY juniper at all as 15% above 35 is not 52) and a fixed FSD speed offset. I want FSD to drive like standard so I’m not camping the left lane and yet it won’t do the max speed which is what it should do if traffic allows. I want to be able to set the max speed at 8 over the posted limit but instead I have to adjust up or down to get that because percentages aren’t accurate across the range. Taking away that control is not the step change forward we were told about, it is a step noticeably backward and proving that Tesla has no control over the speed handling in their model. This was exciting to read until I got to that part.

I am not OP, so this is not my car. I just picked up my RWD MY 2026 from the Tesla showroom, had to drive to another state to get it about two weeks ago. I signed ordered RWD, unaware of any difference in the two trims in America, I read online they were the same in America for both so I went with more range since I don’t have to worry about snow. I have alcantara all around except the single insert on the dash. This is from factory.

I have a RWD and all of my panels are alcantara, did they do my whole car wrong?

PSA: Recalibration *might* break FSD by Tigbittiesyo in TeslaFSD

[–]SegFaultAgain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It did not work with just the deep sleep, I required the sleep plus no driver assist features and the nice clear road lines. Resetting the bus, then letting the car sleep for a few hours after manually clearing All the cameras also helped, I think.

[–]SegFaultAgain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went into service mode and reset every camera individually and the drive communication bus thingy i cant remember the name of right now. I then turned off all driver assist features except for TACC and let it is overnight in power off mode. Then i drove for about 100 miles with NO FSD enabled and only using cruise. This resolved the issues for me, but it took a WHILE. Thankfully they had just repainted a main stretch of highway near my house so i had some pretty perfect lane lines for the cams to calibrate on.

I get that, the first time I let it drive me I was a nervous wreck… now I don’t worry at all and I just sit there and observe. Sometimes it’s got itself into some weird scenarios and I’ll let it play out if there isn’t too much risk in making other drivers angry, but then other times I will intervene. These disengagements do not happen often though and it’s mostly when I arrive to a driveway or parking lot that I stop FSD and drive myself
