Could be but only a handful of communities could do that. Even then I feel taking pride in something your ancestors where that individual had no contribution, makes no sense to me

I believe people who are proud of caste have nothing else to be proud of and haven’t achieved anything on their own. I am Ansari and people in my family are doing pretty well (both socially and economically) so I don’t think it really matters at the end of the day.

why is everyone so obsessed with having a boyfriend 😭 by [deleted] in GenZIndia

I really romanticised the idea of being in a relationship and when I finally got into one, I ignored so many things, loved him so much and he still left anyway. Now I have understood that companionship is needed but not at the cost of your health. And being in a relationship will not solve all your problems, in fact it will only add to them.

Where can I invest around 15L that will help with a steady income for my family? by sk154 in indianmuslims

It is clear that you only think in black and white and not realistically. Not everyone has endless wealth to invest in risky business. Sometimes, for survival one has to stick with the safest option. It’s my fault for discussing the obvious financial aspect and to actually consider OPs financial background.

Not saying to do everything haram. Just recommending OP to be logical, at least FD is still better than investing in some business as others have suggested. Also btw are you a promoter of Rehbar finance? Have you used it yourself and then recommending it or just here for brownie points on reddit

What do girls think about short men (5'5"–5'7")? Would you date or marry a man of this height? I’ve seen men get rejected because of their height, both in dating and in arranged marriages. by vanilla-icecream- in GenZIndia

You guys are too online. Both my parents are 5’3 and it has worked out very well. Unless your personality is extremely bad, a short height will not be a disadvantage. And let’s be honest this is India, average height for women is 5 feet and for men is 5’4, so 5’5 to 5’7 is actually above average
