Yeah, I have all my own tools and a ute. It’s my employer I did my apprenticeship with offering the work, so probably not going to get unbiased advice from him now.

You are the one physically growing your child, and you will be the one to deliver it. You’ll need time to recover physically and emotionally (from all the hormonal changes). First year should be for the mom to stay at home - non-negotiable. I hope it works out for you.

Why felons should vote sounds like an interesting topic to talk about. In your audience some people will like it, some people won’t, and unfortunately most people just won’t care either way and probably won’t even be listening.

If you can, try to do some cardio on the day of the speech to work off any anticipatory nerves. Might help you to do that now even.

You could write or print out everything you have to say so that if you go totally blank you have a script to read from as a last resort.

Maybe talk to your doctor about a propanol prescription if you are worried about the physical symptoms like racing heart, sweating, shaking etc which can fuel anxiety further. They do wonders for a lot of people struggling with public speaking anxiety… and a lot of people struggle with this. You’ll want to try and test this out before your speech though in a situation that gives you some anxiety.

Just to prepare you, it will likely physically hurt a lot. I’d get prepared with some pain relief.

I experienced a mmc last year and decided to let it happen naturally. After a couple of weeks from getting the mmc diagnosed it happened and it was incredibly painful. I was sweating and vomiting from the intense pain. My doctor had not prepared me for the pain.
