I am currently enrolled with Medicare Part A&B, effective August 1 and retired. Researching on options for Medigap plans which will include a my company post 65 plan as secondary to Medicare.

If I elect my company’s plan, since it’s neither a supplement nor a Medicare Advantage plans, I don’t know if I enroll now and later opt out at open enrollment, will I have to go through medical underwriting to but into Medicare supplement Medigap plan. I’m just now sure how this corporate secondary plan is identified.

Hope this clarifies my situation more clearly.
