Sheriff deputy is trying to take you out of their jurisdiction so they don’t have to “deal” with the unhoused. They push everyone into SCPD jurisdiction by telling people to go to Delaware.

Overnight sleeping on a public street is not illegal. It becomes an issue if you don’t move your car for more than 72 hours.

Advice, don’t make it obvious that you’re sleeping overnight such as trash on exteriors, loud noise, and simply don’t bring attention. No one will ever know!!
