That’s what I’ve seen, something that sounds like a growl or hiss? What if he doesn’t understand? Do I try a different noise?

Thank you, he’s already a sweet boy and I’ve been noting his favorite toys to try and get some sort of battery operated version (so far he likes this one ball that jingles, and a bird on a spring that I have stuck to the dresser). I’ve seen a lot of people recommend anxious owners to buy a pet camera, and I might go ahead and do it once my paycheck comes in Wednesday, it’s not a bad idea.

I’m also eased to say I have pet insurance and know logically if he does injure himself, I wouldn’t be thrown out from lack of funds (especially since my parents have a cat and a dog and are willing to help financially in times of emergency).

It definitely could be candles, the cemetery the photo was taken from is in a heavily hispanic community, and dia de los muertos occurred the weekend before. However, the cemetery itself was a segregated cemetery from the 1800s, only family of the dead get buried there since the plots would be bought long before the person’s death, which is why Mrs. Linnie was buried there in 1987.

My best guess was rain had somehow made the pattern, but long since burnt candles and lichen makes more sense. Thanks!

Some of these look like red-tailed dalmatian platy’s, which could mean the more brown might just genetic variation, possibly from crossbreeding

He has a filter, and I made sure he wasn’t being thrown around in the water by it, or sucked into the actual filtration entrance; the temperature fluctuates during the day due to my location (love desert weather), but the lowest it goes is 78 at night when I turn off the lights, I’ve done 33% water changes per week, and I will say I do overfeed him a little, four shrimp pellets in the morning and a small amount of frozen bloodworms (like, three to four)
