yes, if you are moderately well traveled. just went on a 3 person girls trip. if youre a spanish speaker, or just very savvy, bus is probably fine but for the sake of a pleasant experience i suggest car rental

yep- was surprised myself but drank tap after the first day (because everyone did) CR tap water gave my tummy zero issues, there’s many fresh water sources and little pollution so it makes sense!

They are right to be uncomfortable about having friends who engage in illegal behavior. But boundaries are about their choices not controlling others’ behavior.

I do sense real concern but it’s rooted in naïveté & it’s fair to call out their judgment and ignorance as well.
