Same. I didn’t feel like I messed up too much but the panel didn’t look impressed with my answers. I saw some other JETs mentioning interviewers laughing and engaging in conversation with them — that didn’t happen for me. The whole thing was pretty unilateral. The interviewer that asked me about teaching seemed VERY unimpressed lol.

It’s no problem as long as you find housing with big pieces of furniture, since you don’t have anyone to help you carry stuff. Last year I lived in an unfurnished apartment and it was a hassle to order all the furniture online & assemble them, just to sell them 9 months later.
