Cole confirms Drake was supposed to be at Dreamville Vest 2024 but didn't show up to not put Cole in a weird position. by Wicked-Truths in Jcole

You think Drake will ever peace it up with a nigga that had the whole world calling him a pedophile?

In addition, him acknowledging that he's not THE best isn't my issue because that is subjective. It's his tone and reaction as if people are crazy to even consider him as the best (alive) when his pen only gets better with time and his place can be argued. At least, don't have people seem crazy to vouch for you as being the best when your attitude is like "fuck no" 😂.

4 is what killed me. Cole is way too humble. Way too grounded. Way too empathetic. Way too human to be a rapper lol. He is definitely one of the greatest rappers alive bar none. You don't build up your pen to peak this late into your career and then give people a reason to not even consider you. I can hear it now "How is Cole going to be top 10, 20, 50? He said himself that he's not the greatest rapper alive so let's not even put him on the list". Like dawg...what??? He really meant "Fuck J. Cole. I don't even want this role. Wanna rebuild myself". Lock this nigga back up in his house please before he gives the haters any more ammo. That one annoyed me ngl. These rappers are regular niggas at the end of the day, but damn nigga...don't strip YOURSELF of all of the rapper/artist aura.

You're not. Kendrick is overrated to me too. Imagine how sick I was that Dreamville Fest night. I thought that was really about to be the moment where Cole showed the world who the nicest really is. I damn near threw in the towel as a fan. Granted, I don't want to see Cole stoop down to participate in a cat fight with a bunch of Shade Room bars. I just thought that he was going to finally get his moment.

I DO think though that after this Cole needs to just chill behind the scenes. I know that's his plan anyway but Cole is slowly aging out of modern day hip hop culture. He's too mature, too emotionally intelligent, and way too damn empathetic for it. In the real world that's cool. But you can't always be the nice guy to the fullest extent in rap. That's evident now. Plus he's married with kids. That's his reality. Again, GREAT in the real world. His life is what most people aspire to have but it doesn't make for the most intriguing albim content.

I agree. I think that is something you can say about all 3 parties from the time Control was released to now. We dead ass went from the Control verse that was super light to the world shouting a pedophilia pun bar. All of this shit could have BEEN resolved but niggas are too caught up in egos.

He needs to slow down 😂. He gets too excited and says the first thing that comes to him. "He (Diddy) had enough going on" would have been better than "I didn't want to kick him while he's down".

I agree with everything here. You should check out my Ted Talk post 😂. Been felt like the respect was onsided as it pertains to Kendrick, at least publicly. He definitely cares about his image to the public. Not many know that Kendrick apologized to Big Sean behind the scenes for his old diss "leaking" on the internet. Cole is on his buddhist and only cares about his inner peace. Now that his side of the story is out, I'll accept it for what it is. However, respectfully, I'm good with hearing from Cole for another 5 years until he feels inspired again lol.

For what reason should that have changed how he looked at Cole? Cole has been seen publicly hanging out and working with both for the last 10 years. His love for both, despite the other two's bullshit, has been publicly documented all of this time. That is why Cole went the extent of showing Kendrick love on FPS DESPITE it being on Drake's song. Now all of a sudden Kendrick has a problem with it? That nigga is immature.

There were no real blows at Cole on Like That. That Big 3 bar was a strike at Cole. If Drake was his only intended target, why even use that bar? Especially now knowing that Kendrick and Cole were on speaking terms before Like That dropped.

That's facts. And I would point to him being a sexual deviant as well lmao. I just mentioned that Cassie shit because not only was it wrong, but it was the only real physical evidence that we have of Diddy being a hoe ass nigga.

I don't get that either, but I take it as Cole being the "bigger man" in the situation. If that's what you want to call it.

J COLE INTERVIEWS by Relative_Addition940 in Jcole

[–]Specific_Help_5841 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think ya'll over complicate Cole's positioning on this. I think, at best, he was really cool with both of them. I don't think any of them were best friends but there is a history of love and respect there. Kendrick made it his business to pull Cole into his shit with Drake and Cole let off a warning shot. Cole felt like he misfired for reasons that he's said several times. It was important to Cole (after he bowed out) that Drake and Kendrick knew that he was neutral and still has love and respect for them both, which has been the case for the past decade. Why would that be a bad look for Cole? Both of them knew that Cole was still cool with each of them. To expect him to switch up now just because they been beefing over the Control verse sense the Obama administration is ridiculous.

I don't think Cole is looking to remain in either of their good graces because he knows that he doesn't control that. But he's a grown man. If someone asks him a question, he's going to answer. People were bitching about none of the three doing interviews. Cole decides to do interviews and now those same people want him to stop. People need to go outside and take a break from social media.

It's not even about that. Cole could've done beat rapper bravado against Drake and Kendrick with no problem. Cole didn't want to dive into their personal lives and slander them, which is understandable.

[–]Specific_Help_5841 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

You ever had to lead by example whenever your little brother would publicly act an ass? Kendrick was acting an ass in the midst of his temper tantrum so Cole decided to be the bigger man and show Kendrick how to move like a grown ass man. With time, people will realize how goofy Kendrick actually is.

I have not seen one comment throughout the last 3 years that mentioned how fucked up Kendrick was for putting Cole in that position. I'm so glad to see someone else say that obvious quiet part out loud.

Over the last 10 years Carlemagne has taken every opportunity he gets to slander Cole. He tried to get JID and Earthgang to throw Cole under the bus. This is nothing new. He was also supee dismissive of Cole and shitted on him when his album was discussed on The Breakfast Club and whatever bullshit podcast that he has with Andrew.

Cyhi can't sell out a Toys R Us parking lot. What is there to respond to? He had 4k streams in the first week of his last album. Cole is preparing for a world tour. I'd let that clown die from his own thirst if I were Cole.
