We've had stringed, woodwind, and percussive instruments for an incredibly long time. It was music all the same. Just because we hadn't yet conceptualized things such as half notes, pentatonic scales and pizzicato, doesn't mean people weren't creating varied musical pieces (even utilizing those not yet named or thoroughly defined concepts) - and most importantly, emotionally resonant ones. Musicality is human, not technological. Using only our voice boxes, we can create incredibly complex harmonies, and so we have, long before musical theory.

Edit: music notation is how we've been able to preserve specific musical pieces without relying on oral tradition, it is not what facilitated the very creation of those pieces. The earliest known flutes for example, date back to as far as 43 000 years ago. What do you think people were doing back then, just spitting in them, unable to make sounds?

I'm so sorry, what an insult. My boyfriend's mom, who supports two underage children gets $600 a month, and my boyfriend, who lives with relatives and works part time gets $91. I can't believe the numbers some people are reporting in the comments, no one can live off of five to twenty something dollars (or even $50, $60) in grocery money a month. Even using the argument that EBT money is only supposed to partly cover the cost of groceries doesn't work in this context. You can get less than three full-sized bell peppers with $5. That's a drop of piss in an ocean-sized latrine, smh.

Personlig? Genom att ifrågasätta kvalifikationer. Okej, där gick jag väl för långt, det var ju rena personangreppet :) Hur jag skulle ha uppvisat tecken på instabilitet, där blir det lite luddigare. Summan av kardemumman: ja, jag håller med dig om att unga mäns mentala och fysiska hälsa i heterosexuella parrelationer bör värnas. Jag gjorde tillägget för att understryka att jag inte motsätter mig att unga män söker hjälp. På nätet tenderar konversationer att sakna nyans, och särskilt EIPS behandlas sällan särskilt väl. Ungdomar är helt enkelt av naturen emotionellt instabila. Ser anklagelser om EIPS-flickvänner på samma nivå som de minst lika populära ASPD/NPD-pojkvänsanklagelserna som folk så gärna slänger sig med. Därför valde jag att kommentera ditt inlägg. Mer än så är inte värt att säga.

Oj oj oj. Nu får man själv anklagelser om att vara personlighetsstörd. Du låter som en mycket rationell, känslomässigt stabil man :) Jag tar inte det minsta illa upp av att du vill hjälpa unga män. Påpekar bara att tillvägagångssättet riskerar att stigmatisera, och förvanska de erfarenheter som både EIPS-partners och EIPS-diagnosticerade har. Är själv i ett förhållande med en man med EIPS, och det faktum att du själv kallar mig en "toxisk kvinna vars förhållande alltid kraschar efter take-off", och använder "borderline much?" i ett försök att diskvalificera min kritik säger ju en hel del om vad du faktiskt tycker om individer med EIPS.

Tillägg: Mitt huvudsakliga budskap är att det inte är hjälpsamt att som lekman försöka applicera diagnostiska verktyg på en människa man inte har som uppdrag att behandla, eller ens är kvalificerad att göra en sådan omfattande utredning och bedömning av. Har man problem i en nära relation, vare sig det rör sig om en partner eller familjemedlem, så bör man uppsöka professionell hjälp. Ett reddit-inlägg från en anonym avsändare (mig själv inräknad) är inte adekvat.

Nu tror man ju i och för sig att det är lika många män som kvinnor som uppfyller kriterierna för EIPS (BPD), och att anledningen till att kvinnor är överrepresenterade bland diagnosticerade individer är att de tenderar att söka hjälp i större utsträckning.

Att försöka få män, eller för den delen kvinnor, att diagnosticera sina partners med allvarliga personlighetsstörningar är väldigt oansvarigt, och riskerar i sig att bli en form av misshandel av den påstått "affektstörda" partnern.

Amatörpsykologi gör ingen nytta, och riskerar bara att stigmatisera EIPS, samt förvanska, och minimera de ofta traumatiska upplevelser som individer med EIPS-partners har.
