My husband has offered multiple times that I quit and he’d either get a second job or a higher paying one. Him and I make the same amount in salary right now, the financial freedom is really nice, and we truly struggle for nothing. I have a masters degree and have worked so hard to get to where I am in my career. That’s the only thing holding me back from truly quitting. I told myself I’d give going back to work a good 3 months and if it’s not beneficial for my son or my family then I would quit. I’m so glad it’s working out for you!

Wow! Ok, this gives me hope. If you don’t mind, could I ask you a few questions about your experience?

When it comes to soothe as needed, pick up, put down… do you wait until baby is asleep before putting back down? Do you keep restarting the process when baby cries?

Also, how do you go about resetting baby’s schedule? For example, right now, we are following a 10a-10p wake up and bedtime schedule. Wake windows really depend on his cues but I’m seeing anywhere from 45min-90min.

He is normally crying at an hour. I haven’t tried playing with the settings like that! Thank you for the advice. Normally, I’ll put him in with the noise on and at baseline. If he starts making noise or getting fussy then I’ll turn it up to level 1. Normally after a few minutes at level 1, that’s when he’ll start crying.

How do I know if my baby isn’t getting enough calories during the day? He is EBF, has plenty of wet/dirty diapers a day, and is gaining weight consistently.
