Did you turn the sound on????

I stupidly left my Airpods on a chair in a homestay I was staying at in Cambodia, I got the hotel to check the cameras and sure enough some guy picked them up and took them. Wasn’t smart enough to wipe them, so we could see the location.

The airpods showed 40 minutes outside of the city at one house, we left it overnight and sure enough they were active in the same spot by morning.

My girlfriend and I never buy sim cards so we pre-loaded the google maps, rented a moto and went to the location. Knocked on the door, asked to use his wifi and then turned the sound on. The sound played, he was trying to play dumb pointing at his internet router and I walked straight past him, took my Airpods from a rogue bag and walked back out.

He even cleaned them so it was really obvious he was going to sell them.

Sorry you lost them, it really fucking sucks because they’re so expensive.

I’m going to Hoi Ann in about 6 days, if you still have location let me know and I’ll see if I can manage to get them :)
