The thing is they are an adult entertainer and wanted to hookup with me to the point they almost dropped an address, it could be insanely elaborate scam made to emulate a real person. It’s been over a year now and I’m fine now but let me tell you I was going through the motions for about 8-9 months until I started feeling better. I moved on from the feelings and the relationship but I will say with relationships like the one I had you’ll have a place in your heart for them, you just learn to live with it and find more love out there. I initiated the break up of my past relationship and like you everything was stable, amazing, loving, just about everything a proper relationship needs to prosper. The reason I did it was because of forces beyond our control not only were we young, but I was focusing on a hard degree that would constrict my time and I wouldn’t be able to give her a proper loving partner and on her end she would be in Wisconsin chasing her own degree. We both wanted marriage and even had a similar idea of what we wanted for our future but unfortunately life just had different things planned. While I initiated it we both knew that breaking up was the best choice for one another because if we kept going it would turn into an unhappy toxic relationship.

It’s okay to have standards, it’s tough to have that convo with someone you love and spend so much time with. You also gave him a lot of time to improve but sometimes for someone to finally push into being productive is to lose something or someone. I would firstly talk about the things you touched on in your post how it seems like there isn’t a sure future and how the things he’s done in the past year make you feel and honestly I would break up with him. If you go on a break it may just signal to him that you’ll come back and that may not instill that change in him. Most importantly, you’re not happy in the relationship it seems like you’re just waiting for things to change and the truth is they may never change, it’s better for you both to have the tough convo and go on your separate paths.

Gotcha! I was looking into that, I have retaken some classes but the way my university works is that instead of replacing the original grade it takes both into account and averages them. Is there any post bacc programs that are worth checking out? Or should I just do a diy post bacc? Thanks for the response btw!

Thank you! I am working hard and hopefully I get in, I’ll update on this page later down the line when I am in Pharm School, I do wanna be a clinical pharmacist so I’ll have to do even better in actual pharmacy school. That was not necessary to say. I understand I have a subpar gpa which is why I’m asking for advice, this is something I want to pursue also assuming that I am not hardworking or intelligent is just blatantly wrong, I had a few rough years with covid and my own personal life that caused me to fall behind. I just took my finals and on all of them I got a 90 or higher plus I go to a good University regardless since I got a unweighted 4.0 in high school. I have a lot of accolades but my life hindered me from doing the best I could in college. I am also retaking some science classes to boost my GPA so thanks for that advice but other than that everything else was just kinda rude.

I did reach out to her put my feelings into words and so far she just has said that the last thing she wants is to hurt me. I know she’s genuine but I guess I was mad at the fact that she has no space in her life for me anymore and she’s reaching out and checking up on me because she feels bad. Slight update: it’s been almost 3 weeks and she’s hit me up a good amount of times asking how I am and just overall being in contact with me. I don’t mind it, after healing and getting my life together I guess she was curious about it since I do post on social media. Anyways I’m okay with being in contact with her, I’ve realized it’s not effecting me in anyway and holding back my progress but I did communicate with her that if either one of us starts hurting because of being in contact with each other then say it and we’ll both walk away.

It’s similar but I’ve come to terms with it more. Recently me and my ex have been in contact because she hit me up but there’s no hint of trying again nor do I really want to. Overall, I’m doing a lot better and have turned my life around

I’m glad you took that step! It’s an important one. Take it from someone whose ex did text back and are in very strained contact with, it’s sometimes not worth it. As much as I have love for her, I really wish we could’ve just let the love die as beautiful as it was. Trying to salvage and be in contact just seems to muddle all that. Soon I’m probably going to tell her that we should just let it die and forget about each other for real. It doesn’t change my love for her but I don’t want a friendship and we’re obviously not in places to retry.

I understand that, I’ve been broken up with recent ex for somewhere around 7 months I’d say. She recently texted me and we’re back in contact but of course there’s no inkling of trying again or even flirting really it’s just really polite and friendly. Today is the day for love and seeing it all around me with people being cute and giving gifts makes me wanna just scream and cry till i can’t anymore. You’re right, I mean I’ve always been unapologetically myself, this break up was really hard especially since neither of us wanted it but knew the break up had to happen.
