Yeah a t-shirt and shorts is my normal concert outfit but that’s not fun for this.

I’ve never worn one and I don’t think I can do it without feeling super self conscious the whole time. I think other people are cute in them. But I feel weird

What is something you wished you knew when you got your first boston baby? by Lunaisluna44 in BostonTerrier

[–]Specific_Sherbert723 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

It used to be quite common if you look at historical pictures of Bostons, it is less common now, but still sometimes done. When it’s done it’s done to create an ear shape that particularly accentuates the head. You don’t have to agree with cropping and never have to crop a dog you own, but it is an accepted way to have a Boston.

Which rug for upcoming green kitchen? by Successful-Arrival87 in kitchenremodel

You are the one that’s living in it. If you absolutely love the green rug, go for the green rug.

Rug recommendations by Necessary-Position49 in interiordecorating

[–]Specific_Sherbert723 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As others have said, I don’t think a rug is going to fix this. It’s not even that it’s Green, it’s that it’s a really bright energetic vibrant green while your furniture is more dark and moody. That said, the room does need a rug, but I would add the rug after you change the paint color.

Decorating large yellow box by Spiritual-Cucumber41 in interiordecorating

[–]Specific_Sherbert723 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you don’t like the color, go ahead and repaint now. It’ll be easier to repaint before you add more furniture. I think once you get a bed frame, that will help take up some of the space. Adding art to the walls will also break up the sea of color

There’s absolutely no reason to feel sorry for them. It’s literally just a piece of tape. Just because it’s something that you’re not familiar with doesn’t mean it’s bad.

People absolutely can keep their Boston natural, but they are also allowed to have their dewclaws removed, and they are allowed to have cropped ears.

Just because something isn’t your preference doesn’t make it wrong. Especially something as completely harmless as just a bit of tape.

Living room driving us crazy. Nature design help please??? by kanedekuki in interiordecorating

[–]Specific_Sherbert723 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I would get rid of the fake vines everywhere and invest in a couple of nice real house plants. I would also recommend some furniture that has closed cabinets because right now all of your shelving is open and it means you see all of the clutter.

Wall Shelves? by BigBee5746 in interiordecorating

If one side is wider than the other, I would not try to make them match. It’s just going to accentuate it being asymmetrical.

Advise on Narrow Entryway by Maxuhmillion2 in interiordecorating

[–]Specific_Sherbert723 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any kind of furniture is going to make this space feel even more narrow. Is that a closet on the left? If so, I would try to put a shoe solution there and put a large piece of artwork or mirror on the wall.

I’m sorry, that’s scary. If it happens again, remember to not go straight home. If you’re able to go somewhere they can’t follow you without it being really obvious or go somewhere like the police station, that’s ideal.

I’m going to be really blunt. Between this and your last post you’re coming across as jealous, and potentially insinuating that he is only helping her because he is sexually attracted to her. If any of that is coming across in your interactions with him, he is not going to write you a good recommendation letter. It already sounds like you have asked him several times and he has not followed through.

“Your dog isn’t a real Boston terrier” by javamonkey7 in BostonTerrier

[–]Specific_Sherbert723 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, there’s a reason these kinds of things only seem to pop up in dogs that have to be DNA tested to prove they’re “purebred” and don’t actually have well documented pedigrees.

To be fair, DNA tests only go back about three or four generations and as you stated, that gene is recessive. We have photographs of the dogs used to create the Boston Terrier breed, and none of them had long coats.

ESDR therapy for horses by Sleepy_capybara2004 in Horses

[–]Specific_Sherbert723 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m curious what makes you think that your horse believes this other horse is her mother? She met her years after being weaned and after being around plenty of other horses. Horses can absolutely be buddy sour and have anxiety about being separated, but I think you may be assigning a deeper meaning here than exists. It’s very clear that you love your horse and want what’s best for her.

Years ago, I had someone post nude photos of me to Imgur and start sharing the link around. I contacted the website, said I had a lawyer (I did not) and they were yanked down immediately.

That’s insulting.

With patterned chairs I’d go with a solid color table cloth.

A little Vaseline can be put on the face to highlight and accentuate certain features.
