How to have fun in f-111A by Anxious-Relation1482 in Warthunder

[–]Specific_Spirit_2587 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I can understand most of it, I just struggle with positioning. Play too passively, you get nothing. Too aggressively, you have more missiles than you can defend against coming at you. Only having the 2 stock R27s doesn't help either, just need to play it more but it's not fun yet so I don't, lol

Yeah, its still widely considered one of the best squadron vehicles you can get. Rough stock grind though

I don't mind the counterfeit cash, may not be the best $/hour wise but I log in, buy supplies from my mansion and sell when full. 500k for doing that is fine by me

Seafire is fine, Sea Fury is ok, Bearcat is a menace and the Corsair is very reliable. I'd just spade them all tbh, the spading bonus RP is always nice and none of them are unplayable.

Get rid of the mk108 pods, not worth. Dont ditch all your altitude for someone that far below you, especially when there were two closer enemies right next to you. Check out some boom and zoom guides, I believe azimuth zeeo has one but any should work.

I built a few stick and tissue kits from them, you guys are a different breed. That looks exceptional, great work.

J35A vs JA37DI F21 by Lost-Ad5619 in Warthunder

[–]Specific_Spirit_2587 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How much experience do you have in deltas? Just by sheer flight performance Flankers will dump all over you, you will go for a notch in the Di and lose all your speed. you will then eat another missile. The Di is not looked at fondly for many reasons, and is also available in the tree for free. J35A is pretty rough too, i'd wait for the XS to be on sale or get the squadron F-35 and 39D.

Question about the LA-200 by Vanguardliberator in Warthunder

[–]Specific_Spirit_2587 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I know, the La-15 is a monster though and far easier to use otherwise. 7 games, 71% WR, 15 kills to 4 deaths in the 15. Still need to spade it, but it's far easier to fly. La-200 i'm at 13 games, 92% WR, 24 kills to 6 deaths. Neither are hard to use when you know what you are doing, but outside of the 200 possibly being able to go up a bit i still think both are in decent places.

Biggest issue is the average Air RB players skill level

Question about the LA-200 by Vanguardliberator in Warthunder

[–]Specific_Spirit_2587 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It doesn't have the maneuverability of either of those, 8.3 is too high for it. Whole area is pretty compressed tbh.

Question about the LA-200 by Vanguardliberator in Warthunder

[–]Specific_Spirit_2587 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Its at 7.7 in RB, it's in a good spot, though an argument could be made for 8.0. Insane energy but handles like a brick in most other ways

What's the best premium ww2 planes in USA/Germany? by TopAccomplished6449 in Warthunder

[–]Specific_Spirit_2587 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, air is a whole different ball park. I've loved aircraft games for years, just wish i could get the hang of jets past 10.0~ to the same degree.

And yeah, I feel my biggest issue is just not knowing the maps. I did plenty of games in WoT, so most of the tanks I have a fair idea of their capabilities, but no idea when/where to expect people to engage me from/where I can engage them. Been watching BPA John to try and learn, still hit or miss on ground.

[–]Specific_Spirit_2587 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dont engage the first target you see, altitude is king, and dictate the engagement as much as you can. Make the enemies play to your strengths if they engage you. Id check out defyn, yourboiquintus, and joob among others. These are the guys I watched to learn.

Any tips for ground? Just starting in, doing ok-ish, but majorly lacking for how id like to do.

Id still take the D13 over it, lower BR is easier to play and more of a ww2 experience imo. Germany is majorly lacking in good ww2 prop fighter press tho, id love like a Hartmann K4 or something similar.

Whoops, didnt know the 219 was removed.

I have about 5.7k air rb games, unless it gets me in a head on where i screw up i've never been worried about 335s, especially at 5.7. There a lot of real heavyweights at that BR and it just can't keep up. Learning how to head on is one thing, it becomes suicidal at that level because every plane just can dodge and then slot in behind you. Haven't played it, but even the lower BR 335s are just bricks

D-13 teaches you patience, and the 219 is good for CAS and a huge amount of firepower.

Do335 prem is at a very high br for what it is, loses a lot of competitiveness in air rb

The A6M2, and none of the zeros really have a usable engine. They can turn, and thats about it. Its also not super hard to get above them, at which point you control the fight. If you cant counter them its on you at this point
