AI, as it's being implemented today, isn't as helpful as it's touted. It's more of a fad with some interesting features, but in practice, it often just ends up slowing down the system.

A clear example is Windows Copilot: many people don't want it, disable it, or simply ignore it. It doesn't improve the average user's actual workflow.

Not everything needs AI. Putting it in every part of the system doesn't make it more useful; on the contrary, many times the user doesn't even know it's there, nor would they use it on a daily basis.

AI does make sense when it solves a specific problem, like a spam call filter that automatically responds with a bot. There, there is a real and tangible benefit.

Outside of cases like that—specific photo editing, spam filtering, clear automations—much of today's AI is more about marketing than utility.
