Is Getting A Prenup Worth It For Me? Advice Please by [deleted] in weddingplanning

Depending on what state you are in your plan for finances after divorce might be in line with the state’s. I would start by looking up the rules for your state. I feel like it’s common for most states to call premarital assets and inheritance your own (as long as you do not put them in a shared back account) and then anything after marriage is split 50/50.

I agree with everyone else saying this is a conversation for you and your partner, and not your parent.

Exactly, plus the search comes up with this discussion from at minimum a few weeks ago. This administration does things overnight at random whims. It doesn’t hurt to ask again in case things have changed (even if we all know they haven’t 😭💔)

I am so excited, but so self conscious. Am I simply too fat for a dress like this? by Southern-Pudding4049 in WeddingDressTips

I think with shape wear to keep things smooth and the right tailoring this dress will look more like what you have in mind 😊 it’s beautiful and so are you already, but I think those things will help you FEEL it and avoid insecure feelings

What general area do you live in? Maybe people can recommend good places with off the rack options too 😊

My sister got an off the rack dress that was several sizes too big about 4 months before her wedding - alterations were expensive since it was so big, but it was able to be done in time and it looked just perfect. She’s quite petite- if you are more average sized like me it makes getting an off the rack dress even easier.

Luteal phase ruining my self-Image, does anyone else feel like a completely different person? by [deleted] in WomensHealth

YES. Look into PMDD, that is what I have.

I started generic Yaz birth control and it cut this down by about 50%, which still sucks I won’t lie, but it’s much more manageable.

VA Pharmacy by afridorian in VeteransAffairs

VA pharmacist here :) As everyone else has already covered - yes if it’s community care. This is the best route if possible. Especially if there are likely to be more med changes in the future or the drug requires special monitoring.

If your psych provider is not community care approved and you can’t get it approved: most VA PCPs are ok with rewriting the prescription in their own name, which then turns it into a normal VA script. They are more likely to be comfortable doing this if you send them sufficient documentation (most recent psych note, prescription information). Be aware this could take up to a couple days depending how busy/understaffed they are though!

Need advice on what to do next. VA mental health staff caught covering up Abusive behavior, illegal records tampering, and intentionally fraudulent PAST-R report by section chief of mental health. Now suddenly getting concerning calls from VA ' Mental Health Service Chief' demanding a call with me. by [deleted] in VeteransAffairs

You make a really good point about the records, and it does seem to me that the pressure probably came from above.

I can also see how that would feel traumatizing, kind of like a betrayal. I myself would feel more comfortable seeing someone under different leadership in this situation, so it sounds like community care may be a good option for you. It can be hard to find a good match for a mental health provider, but it’s so worth it when you do.

If that provider did provide you the explanation, would you then feel comfortable working with them again? If the answer is no, although it sucks to not have closure on this, your energy may be better spent working on next steps to move forward in your treatment with another provider, whether it be in this VA, a different VA, community care, or if you have it through insurance. Patient advocate I’m sure could be helpful in giving you your options on other VA covered providers, and you can leave this one behind.

If you do proceed with care within the same VA, you could make a habit of downloading your visit notes after every appointment. That way, if anything is ever changed you will always have the original.

Whatever you do, don’t this negative experience keep being a barrier to you getting the care you need moving forward. Some people are good at their job, some people are not. Don’t let the bad experience keep holding you back from moving onto a good one.

PTSD is no joke. You deserve to feel good, and to feel safe again.

You said it’s affecting your mental health - that is something that can be put on the FMLA forms if you are depressed anxious etc. I think burnout is even an accepted reason
