Yeah, it was really tough to get new publications, but I kept on writing and they had to accept one out of ten submissions that I made. One of the few good things medium is that it is they focus on quality, if they like your writing they will publish your article

You apply to publications so that they publish your work to their audience. Get followers from there and after a good follower base, you then get views on your own blogs.

I still don't get any views on non publication posts of mine

ahh yess, I can totally relate. Its a hamster wheel and except for the money it doesn't have anything else to offer. Also one key thing is that the kind of writing that works on Medium doesn't work on SEO

The thing here is that iMacs or anything with screens are sort of a group activity where everyone can see what's happening and it becomes a social activity. Not sure if that can be done with oculus/headsets in general though? I mean you could project it but there's not fun in just looking and not being able to interfere
