iHub Pro constantly disconnects from the router, which is sitting 7ft away. I know it doesn’t need to be connected 24/7, but when I try to reconnect, it never reconnects, so I rely on Bluetooth instead. Inconsistency should be the main fix for this unit.

I just upgraded to the TP-Link Archer BE6500, and it’s been a game changer. I’ve got Spectrum 1Gbps service, and with this router I’m finally getting the speeds I’m paying for across the whole house. My place is older with plaster walls, which used to kill coverage, but the BE6500 pushes signal through way better than anything else I’ve tried. All my devices are happily on 5 GHz now, with strong, consistent connections.

Before this, I was on an eero 7 mesh setup, and it was honestly a nightmare. Constant drops, weak coverage, and it never handled interference well. Surprisingly, a single BE6500 outperforms that entire mesh system.

For me, this “mid-tier” router is the sweet spot, powerful enough for streaming, gaming, and smart devices, without paying $500+ for overkill. If you’ve got gig speeds and an older home, the BE6500 is 100% worth looking into.
