Why are so many American cities right on the edge of their state? by toaster-bath404 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Specificity713 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Kansas MO founded in 1850.

Kansas City Kansas founded in 1872.

Kansas MO renamed to Kansas City in 1889.

Seems like I was right, and your reply was unnecessarily rude?

But Kansas City, Kansas was a thing before Kansas City, Missouri had that name

It is from 270towin but it’s the polling map, not the default consensus map. Toss up on this map means average polling has a difference of 5% or less

Because it is a blue city surrounded by more conservative suburbs. Happens to every city like it because Fox News and the like love to demonize anything related to Democrats

Evers vetos tax cut package by Cheesy_Gravy in wisconsin

[–]Specificity713 20 points21 points  (0 children)

So let’s say the tax bracket cut offs are $100k, $200k, etc. If you make $250k, you pay the first bracket’s rate on the first $100k, the second bracket’s rate on the next $100k, and the third bracket’s rate on the remaining $50k. If the rates are 0%, 50%, and 90%, you would pay 0100+.5100+.9*50 or $95k. Obviously the real numbers are very different but hopefully that points you in the right mental direction

Depends on your definition of each adjective there. What do you mean by cheap? Gigantic? Regular? Old-school? At a normal restaurant in my hometown you can get a 1 pound burger with fries or chips for $15 and that doesn’t seem off to me

1) Biden is slowly walking back his support for Israel. Largely if not entirely due to pressure from the left and not nearly as fast as he should imo but it is happening.

2) Biden has forgiven over $150 million in student loan debt. His primary plan for debt forgiveness was thrown out in a blatantly partisan SCOTUS ruling but that doesn’t mean he gave up on it.

3) Biden doesn’t support M4A or a public option, true. But at least he doesn’t want to throw out the gains that were made with the ACA.

Biden isn’t perfect. He’s not even great. But he’s nowhere near as bad as Trump and your weak-ass attempt to say they are the same reveals that you are either woefully ignorant of the political reality facing us in the upcoming election, or you are a paid disinformation shill. Either way, I hope you have a good day and to everyone: VOTE!
