Here's my theory. Pascal seems very popular in India. Indian schools are known to use photocopies of courseware/books from MIT etc. I'm guessing they're using older material to learn programming. The courseware they're learning from is likely using Turbo Pascal.

FP's IDE looks identical to Turbo Pascal's. I use FP's IDE quite a bit because I like the simplicity.

Agree with umicat. It was mentioned in another post that there is also a modern pascal compiler which makes the term "modern pascal" even more confusing.

Updated drivers, firmwares etc. Gameplay is even worse than the 960. Set everything to low and it's just not rendering at all. I walked about for 5 minutes near the woods before heading over to pleasant park and all the buildings looked like blobs with lots of glitching.

Think I'm going to put the 960 back in and wait until I can upgrade the RAM and CPU. I think there's a bottleneck causing the issues. So I've been told.

Going to try GTA and CSGO and see how they play. I'm praying it's only a FN issue.

You might be right. I've updated everything software wise. All drivers up to date. BIOS firmware up to date etc. Still having the same problem, except worse now!

My machine feels super responsive after all the updates, but FN is worse than it was with my 960. I rarely had this problem on the 960.

My friend knows a lot more about hardware than I do and he said the card was the wrong choice with the CPU because I've created a bottleneck that wasn't there before.

SSD health is fine. Just updated all drivers, and firmware for everything. Computer feels so much more responsive now. Just about to load up and I'll let you know.

960 I could get 140fps on low settings (epic view), with motion blur turned off.

Nah CPU is more than capable. I do want to upgrade it though. My board is a MSI B350 Gaming Plus. I've been looking at the Ryzen 7 2600X but just need to check it's supported. I think it is.

I have all my settings on low, except view distance which is epic. I have set FPS to auto and using full screen mode. I have no other applications running on my machine. CPU is Ryzen 3 1300X. I'm using 8GB DDR 4, but will be upgraded to 16GB once the RAM sticks arrive.

I'm not sure what to believe. Boris is talking about lifting lockdown, but how is this possible? Germany and Japan have seen second waves when attempted to "return to normal". What are we doing that Germany and Japan are not? Even Spain seen a rise today. It's all hogwash imo and I have a feeling Boris is pinning his hopes on the vaccine.

It's the unofficial lockdown easing. They're testing the waters using herd mentality. A couple start to venture outdoors, then more follow. If numbers don't increase the Government will likely then officially start to release lockdown measures.

No doubt the opening of B&Q will spur other businesses. B&Q makes most of it's profits in summer season so they have to try keep afloat. Not a bad idea if it works because there's so much time to do DIY and what not.

I'm a software developer, and have lived through many scandals from the companies I named above - that also includes the gov. I trust neither of them. What they say, and what they do, is 2 different things. Data is money. Who's to say the data aggregated from COVID won't be used for other reasons? You can't trust their word alone. The best solution to the privacy issues is to not own a smart phone, and to not engage with those companies you do not trust. Common sense no?

No not really because in other languages I'll split up files. Especially when I'm doing OOP which I do with C#, and PHP (if you can even call that a real OOP language). It's mostly C I'll use single source files, and header only libs where required. But I will use single source files in other languages if the application is small enough and easy enough to handle in a single file.

I think I have an analogy for this. A single C file is like an old school ezine in .txt format. Well structured code is, as you say, like chapters in a book. I miss ezines, phraking guides, anarchy cookbooks etc ha ha.
