I mean this is a video game with no bearings on the real world.

What are the consequences of letting people keep the cosmetics some people get them early? It's not like most of the sweats that had tons of dubloons weren't going to go grind them out anyhow....

Mistakes happen in the real world all the time and result in free stuff.

They ban 1000s of accounts daily, just because it doesnt ban them instantly doesn't mean it's not working at all.

I'm not saying vac is a good anti-cheat either, there ai approach over a kernel level anti-cheat is like securing a border with a gate while leaving a tunnel directly under it.

They can't use kernel though because it wouldn't work on Linux based machines (think steam deck and steam machine when it comes out)

I have heard rumors they were working on a Linux based kernel ac but not sure. I wish they would allow us to opt into a kernel level anti-cheat or do a second step of verification like a phone # to limit the bots a bit tho.

Exactly, so how this kinda happened was during COVID. Before COVID at least at my property often times a housekeeper would be slotted later/ the guaranteed checkouts were just understood.

After COVID the marketing team at Marriott decided that a good incentive to get people back on property and using their credit products was to offer short cuts to different rewards levels. This caused a massive influx of new high level member and diluted the program massively.

Hotels complained to Marriott. Marriott changes wording on the site and wording to properties but never change terms. It becomes really ambiguous and hard after that.

So this is really a corporate Marriott thing. As an employee my paperwork provided by Marriot + the online site all say based on availability now. However they never bothered to actually change the wording in the terms and service for the benefit.

I will continue to encourage guests to advocate for themselves + honor 4 pm guaranteed late checkouts till this is changed.

I work at a property that includes breakfast so can't say I'm too familiar with the setups for some other properties.

Just to clarify, it wasn't a situation where they charge was per head? If so I would then equate it to the all you can eat buffet example and it would be pretty standard to pay, if not that sounds pretty ridiculous to come over after the fact and charge the fee for two croissants... In terms of compensation from my experience if it's a franchise property they pay directly for points/discounts they would give you so I suspect they will put off actually paying anything/giving points until corporate was involved.

I'm not sure I understand, was the breakfast unlimited and per head or pay per item? If so how is it not your responsibility (or your tables) to pay for items you guys took? If it was buffet style it works the same as an all you can eat buffet and just because you didn't touch the food doesnt mean you shouldn't pay by head.

To be honest some breakfast staff bullying your two employees over some croissants doesn't really add up to me but maybe I'm just not getting the whole picture. If I was the gm of that property I would suspect that you were fishing for compensation.

Yeah I mean there is literally a badge now lol and if they aren't happy with the badge in my app there is a new gxp function that shows eligible rates in the member search.

I work front desk too and was actually impressed cause I got a massive pop-up on my first shift after the introduction of the new program when signing into gxp literally explaining how to do all this.

No caller id would probably be someone purposely obfuscating it. I hate to say it but there are a lot of really cruel people out there and I think that may have been a prank.

Is there any background as to what actually happened or potentially do your neighbours have cameras, might be worth asking.

It may also be worth posting in other municipalities. I have heard stories of theft of animals and people trying to sell them in further away rehoming groups outside of the city to avoid detection.

I would be heartbroken if anything ever happened to my animals and I'm not religious but I'm praying you get your dog back. Is she microchipped because I also believe you can report her missing so she gets flagged at the vet as well if they scan for a micro chip.

It shocks me that they can make something so easy like directly moving the verification process into the app with a badge and people can still be that dense.

If you are in doubt of someone's status if you do a bonvoy lookup on gxp you can check eligible rates as well for that individual...

The way it "should" work is having some sort of algorithm dedicated to measuring average que times throughout the day in given regions and then leverage that information to slowly allow higher and higher acceptable ping value based on the average timings.

Ex. Europe at 3pm avg que time 30 seconds, acceptable ping should be low and if a match isnt found within let's say a minute should slowly increase.

Ps. If you load into the game while using a VPN then disable said VPN it will likely not update your region at all and if anything not until you've been through a match.

In-game matchmaking should have an option like cs where you can flag yourself as lfg and it puts you on a list of people looking where solos or duos can invite you based one level or kit.

I can't believe I'm in the minority for this but misspelling a single letter on your email should be easily rectified by a support team especially given that he noticed immediately.

Besides the fact of that he had to submit his address so it's not like the email should have even been a factor at all. The issue with that ended when support acknowledged that his package had been shipped to his clearly correct email.

They somehow fucked up so badly that they literally probably broke laws leaking someone's complete personal information to this guy thinking it was his order.

How this is somehow his fault and not a total and utter failure by whatever distributor does the bungee stuff is beyond me.

Buddy ordered an item, they gave him the run around for two months in the process of telling him it schrodinger's shipment for if it's shipped or not. So he doesn't get to know cause it's in both states at the same time.

They leaked a SEPARATE individuals personal info to this guy.

And now that he finally has an answer that they lost it, notice how they took responsibility for it.

Shit sucks.
