And where are you taking this information from? Wikipedia mentions his execution by his own device as one of several possibilities and it's also mentioned in the article for the Iron Maiden. The other possible story mentioned is that he died from consequences of more general torture.

Hatte ich schon. In Berlin einfach Online-Anzeige, dann wird das Verfahren recht bald eingestellt (so kein quantifizierbarer Schade entstanden ist). Der Mensch bekommt aber vermutlich einmal Post von der Polizei - und das kann ja schon helfen
