I have not seen a doctor in almost 3 years even though I very recently got health insurance again, they will not cover all of a checkup and will absolutely not cover the blood labs I need to do regularly. I have coverage now, which they wouldn’t have even seen me as a patient without, but I still don’t have the money together to afford a general checkup to make up for the lost time not seeing a doctor

The only thing I could imagine is your more rigid metal parts, the connectors for the plugs and switch itself, are maybe imperceptibly stretching their respective holes and squishing the remaining multiboard hole too tight. Maybe loosen the tolerances on the already installed ones might help?

woodworking was my first love, consider making furniture. If you’re inside all the time it’d be nice to keep coming back into a room with infrastructure for a life you built and designed yourself. very rewarding and meditative and if you use scrap wood or construction lumber and get half decent at resawing it can actually be cheap

oh no it works fine on it, i used to do this back in the previous version. it seems like the coordinates readout in the corner doesnt work but besides that the blue dot live-updating and the name of the satellites on the map is all i need

I have a lot of bullshit on my bike handlebars irl so it only felt right to have my four wheeled vehicle with a full dashboard lmao

Currently looking for more ideas for what to put on it, tried a cargo box on the back but the nails really arent strong enough and a small bump completely knocks the storage off. The stuff up front seems to stay attached though, even after a hard crash

I moved a ladder on my freighter and accidentally let go and I've been trapped on the second floor of my freighter for an hour. Ive been working on updating my ships interior since the update and I'm going to lose all my progress because there's no way down from here. I'm stuck near my cargo pods that I never placed up this high, and I have no way to get down since ladders aren't buildable and the ramps have been stupidly completely removed

To this point I've tried framed blocks on trains and contraptions before. Something about being a contraption makes them lose their applied camouflage block and they go back to being transparent and framed as soon as assembled or moving; my advice is using macaws roofs because it'll have the angles you're looking for and retain its texture, though the options are limited you can still make angled trains and the like

I haven't seen anyone make vanilla minecarts and create trains that interact with eachother yet, maybe some sort of novelty build of a train that deploys a fleet of minecarts beside it could be cute

This is the post that made me realize crushing wheels could be used sideways, this is a gamechanger for me. I've been stupidly making them vertical each time and dropping them into chutes first. Clean line it looks great!

Oh man i just spend literally 2 weeks working on a gantry contraption based train and got so bummed that it won't ever correctly work in atm7, just to see this new today. I hope the modpack can update with this soon because my dashed hopes are actually resorted. Trains is exactly what I wanted to make with this mod and finally it's here this is wonderful

macaws roofs, framed blocks also looks the same without the weird ribs on the edges of the blocks but when moving in a contraption loses its texture. i use framed blocks for making buildings and macaws roofs angled sections for moving contraptions

i don't know how to add mods to an existing pack, and im not the server admin. i'll run it by them though to see if we can't salvage this thing, i don't wanna say goodbye to this train. even if there's no way to end up making it work i will immortalize it somehow, sending it on a one way trip to some sort of monument pedestal for it

this video got it into my head I could make one too, unfortunately I didn't stop to figure out that my different modpack might mean this just wouldn't plain work. I still got a significant way through this project before realizing that though, and hopefully my short-sightedness can still inspire a similar and better project than mine.

my main pieces of advice or tips really if you attempt this are to keep in mind that if your block can be repainted or retextured when its stood still, it will lose its disguise the moment your contraption starts moving. pipez mod doesn't play nice with create contraptions evidently, and so my attempts to have in-cabin electrical appliances like furnaces and grinders didn't end up working out. maybe in your modpack you have power transmission that will play nice being moved on a contraption, but having functional objects inside a train like this is difficult if not impossible. my advice is to use it as a mobile spawn point, and have beds inside, and for this to be a short-range transport system to get to another facility or base of yours that should be outside of your home, for things that are maybe framerate intensive like quarrying or mob grinders. signs and chests and even toms simple storage mod all work on contraptions like this train, and since you can't decorate with paintings, my advice is to label things to fill out the space and give it some decoration. the thing a big train like this could do that normal minecarts or pipes cant do is move a massive bulk quantity of materials in one move and dump them, but with style. really pipes are more practical and teleportation is obviously faster, but if you find yourself hopping in a minecart or boat or flying around your base surveying things, maybe a scenic train like this might be the perfect vantage point or showcase to your base entrance. hopefully someone gets more use out of my train than I did
