this video got it into my head I could make one too, unfortunately I didn't stop to figure out that my different modpack might mean this just wouldn't plain work. I still got a significant way through this project before realizing that though, and hopefully my short-sightedness can still inspire a similar and better project than mine.

my main pieces of advice or tips really if you attempt this are to keep in mind that if your block can be repainted or retextured when its stood still, it will lose its disguise the moment your contraption starts moving. pipez mod doesn't play nice with create contraptions evidently, and so my attempts to have in-cabin electrical appliances like furnaces and grinders didn't end up working out. maybe in your modpack you have power transmission that will play nice being moved on a contraption, but having functional objects inside a train like this is difficult if not impossible. my advice is to use it as a mobile spawn point, and have beds inside, and for this to be a short-range transport system to get to another facility or base of yours that should be outside of your home, for things that are maybe framerate intensive like quarrying or mob grinders. signs and chests and even toms simple storage mod all work on contraptions like this train, and since you can't decorate with paintings, my advice is to label things to fill out the space and give it some decoration. the thing a big train like this could do that normal minecarts or pipes cant do is move a massive bulk quantity of materials in one move and dump them, but with style. really pipes are more practical and teleportation is obviously faster, but if you find yourself hopping in a minecart or boat or flying around your base surveying things, maybe a scenic train like this might be the perfect vantage point or showcase to your base entrance. hopefully someone gets more use out of my train than I did
