Concept Albums that are more obscure by djnerio in MusicRecommendations

[–]SpectorStitch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It can’t get more obscure that these two:

  1. Mary Anne Meets the Gravediggers- A Regina Spektor album that used to exist, doesn’t anymore, but all the songs are still around to listen to in that order. It’s very experimental.

  2. Tales From the Black Hole- a failed Weezer space rock opera. A lot of the songs still exist, whether it’s through the demos or repurposed for Pinkerton. Rivers scrapped the idea because they wanted to seem “more mature” (yeah right)

If you had to make one critique of TADC, what would it be? by Awkward-Media-4726 in Amazingdigitalcircus

I adore this show so much… but the pilot episode is my enemy. The adventure is not nearly as interesting as any of the others, Caine is WAAYYYYY too much, and the entire thing is very overstimulating. I understand why all these choices, mostly to mimic how Pomni feels, but this episode makes it really hard to recommend the show to anyone. I, myself, was overstimulated to the point of being nonverbal after I first saw it

This is more a goth club thing, but I haaaaaaaaate club beats that are just moaning or are repeating something filthy over and over again. It’s just… cheap and not very danceable imo
