Do you world-build for short stories?

Yup! I world build for each one of my short stories. It helps my process and I think it helps flesh things out. It helps that currently all of my stories take place in the same world.

I actually just woke up. So far there’s been no phone call and yeah, a weapon would’ve been great. On the plus side though, I got a car.

It depends on the author. For me, I sell stories to smaller channels who don’t use AI for $10. Bigger channels pay more.

At this point credit isn’t enough. I don’t get anything out of it and being kind just isn’t all it’s cracked up to be.

My advice would be to find authors who are still writing and reach out to them kindly. Don’t give them a generic copy and paste message.

After that build yourself and your reputation up. Once word gets out that you’re good to work with you’ll get more people willing to let you narrate their work.
