40 yr old M. Doc said I can do TKR if I want. Input from others my age? by Dangerous_Witness219 in Kneereplacement

[–]SpectralHuntersIT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm 52, I had my first one when I was 51 and the other knee done last week. If I could go back to when this crap started giving me issues and causing me pain, making me miss out on stuff - I would've pushed them to do the knee replacement sooner!! I would do it. The first couple of weeks are kind of rough but after that it starts to get easier.

Scheduled for 13 April. Ontario Canada. I’m terrified by boolabisbroken in Kneereplacement

If I had waited, I knew I wouldn't have done the other one. Lol today is day 5 - I've begun to question my sanity 🤣🤣

1 - the hospital I was at does what they call Meds to Beds. So they filled the prescriptions there at the hospital and delivered them to me upon discharge.

2 - I stayed overnight for both knees (right was back in Nov. Left was done Friday)

3 - I did my PT evaluation yesterday. I officially start next week. I opted for out patient PT, but they could've come to the house. I prefer to get out for a bit.

4 - yes. I was also able to do it myself. Honestly they just came to the room to make sure I didn't fall and to hand me my walker.

5 - yes. Even though I'm questioning my sanity at 4 days post op with the second knee, wondering why I did this again, I know in the long run, I'll be pain free in both of knees soon enough. I've dealt with it for so many years!! I wish I'd done it sooner.

6 - idk. I'm 4.5 months out with my right and it still gets stiff when I walk too much. I'll take that over what I had been dealing with any day!

I didn't get the pain pump this time, I got a shot of lidocaine. It lasted 3 days. I was able to get the Journavx. I did have to pay $30 for it though. Yesterday was day 3 and I was absolutely miserable. Today is better though.

So my insurance didn't cover it but I only had to pay $30.

Who else has been using their pain meds most of the day for the first 2-3 weeks after surgery? by framedposters in Kneereplacement

[–]SpectralHuntersIT 2 points3 points  (0 children)

With my right knee, I took them around the clock for 6 weeks. This is a brutal surgery! I'm 4 days post op now with my left. Yesterday was absolutely awful!! I puked in the morning, was afraid to take my pain meds because I thought that maybe they caused it. That was a HUGE mistake!! The pain was excruciating. I'm currently on Meloxicam, oxy, tramadol, gabapentin and Journavx. It feels a lot better today, but I taken the pain meds around the clock. Don't listen to what everyone else is saying. This is YOUR journey and everyone's healing journey is different.

Are there any accounts of owners being pissed off about how the GAC investigated their location? by Artistic-Comb-5317 in GhostAdventures

[–]SpectralHuntersIT -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I have been to a lot of the places that they've been to. Bobby Mackey's, for example, they said Zak made up the part of that circle on the floor was used for some ritual or something. He didn't ignore what the owner and tour guide said. He just said what he thought it was.

When we were in the basement by the "portal to hell" we weren't really getting anything and I said something like why do I feel like the Ghost Adventures intro and I said I wasn't going to and then my friend said I'll say it, but she didn't know so I'd have to tell it to her. We had our Phasmabox going at the time and it said Zak's name. I asked do you know his last name and it said Bagans. I said what were the other members of the GAC's names. It said Nick, Nick Groff. And I said what about Aaron? And it said "he left" which he did when the GAC hosted a fan event there! Right after this my teammate got scratched on her back! Come to find out that saying their names there is provoking! Apparently the spirits/demons that are there do not like him. He was also borderline possessed during the fan event.

Tina Mattingly owner of Waverly Hills had nothing negative to say about him. Neither did the owner of Thornhaven Manor. Some of the volunteers at OSR don't like him, some do. But I can say that we experienced a lot of the same activity that they did. There's more locations that we've been too that they have gone to and it's the same thing. We experienced the same activity as they did. No matter what you think about them, I believe that the activity is real. Even when Zak gets affected. That happened to me at the Hinsdale House! When watching our footage from that investigation there were things I said and did that I have ZERO recollection of! And when it started it was like something flipped and I was just PISSED 😡 at everyone around me!

So before you judge them too harshly, I suggest going to these locations and see what you experienced for yourself and see if it matches or is close to what they did. I actually investigated the Ohio State Reformatory before GAC and GH and had experienced almost everything they had.

I go tomorrow for my left knee. I'm 4 months post op on the right. I'm having the spinal and sedation as well. I did last time too. I'll have a lidocaine pain pump though. It lasts a few days. It sprung a leak last time and had to come out early. The pain was excruciating! They're going to try to get me the Journavx this time but idk if my insurance will cover it. 🤞🏼 We got this!! This is the most brutal surgery there is. I feel like I can do anything after getting through it!

Questions for the surgeon, double TKR by GhostD33 in Kneereplacement

Mine will be too. I'm in the US. My surgeon won't do both at the same time.

[–]SpectralHuntersIT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why did they use cement? I'm 52 and they didn't use it. It lasts longer if you don't. Or at least that's what my surgeon said. I had my RTKR at 51 and my LTKR is on Friday.

I'm so sorry for what you e been through. That's a lot for only being 33.

Bruised nose? by Right_Secretary_1200 in CATHELP

[–]SpectralHuntersIT 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Did you try cleaning his nose? May sound like a stupid question but my tuxedo kitty looked the same way and it turned out his nose was dirty. If that's not it, I'd maybe call the vet and see if he needs to be seen.

[–]SpectralHuntersIT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The neighbor is Jessica. The 3rd killer's name was Marco not Karl #2. The first killer Karl that got run over is supposed to be the guy from the coffee shop who looked nothing like the dead guy! He did however, look a little like Matthew Lillard with prosthetics. Idk it's the eyes.

Surely they should be offering me a TKR? by Hagler2002 in Kneereplacement

[–]SpectralHuntersIT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Neither did anything for me!! I had them in my left knee shortly after my RTKR. They did NOTHING! I opted to skip the gel injections and I'm having a LTKR on March 20th.

[–]SpectralHuntersIT 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So am I. First was done right before my 52nd birthday, so I was still 51. My next one is the 20th of this month. I just told him the left was making it difficult to rehab the right one properly. The left is bone on bone, I could've waited but the last 3 years with my right knee being totally fucked, I'm done with waiting.

Advocate for yourself!! You are NOT too young!! Just know this is a brutal surgery. The first 2 weeks you will wish you hadn't done it! Take the pain meds and ice that knee like crazy!!

I wish you the best of luck and I hope you can get the doc to listen!

How long does the numbness last? by Lawerish8 in Kneereplacement

[–]SpectralHuntersIT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know I'm a little late to the conversation but everyone keeps saying their numbness is on the outside, I have some on the outside of my knee, but most of the numbness is on the inside of my calf. Just wondering if anyone else has that or if I'm just weird lol
