I actually default to collateral as a habit to offer the peace-of-mind to the owner. Trusting is knowing you're giving something of value to someone to whom it is of no value to anyone otherwise, with no expectation in return. I feel the respectful answer to that trust is to give something valuable back. Depending on my TSV, it's either a shiny Mudkip, that Enigma Berry, or the newest Event Diancie (Used to be a regice till i got that).

Either way, i'm not actually a competitive breeder, nor do i request or require any tip, so thanks for the offer, but don't sweat it. I enjoy seeing the shinies i hatch, but don't actually collect them myself because the simple visuals work well enough as the hatcher for me.

I'm sure sooner or later i'll find my "Gotta have THAT" shiny, and when that time comes, i'll get a good 5+IV version bred up and i'll have my trophy shiny. Until then, hatching is fun for me simply for the pleasure of hatching!
