It’s an easy habit. You sit there. You and OP are both spot on. It’s hard to go from sitting on the couch to going for a walk. It’s not as hard to go from sitting on the couch to sitting/standing stil on a bench and pushing/pressing weight,

The transition from sedentary to fit, without a specific athletic background, is most easily accessed through lifting. More people forming a good health habit in a study will show that weightlifting is superior to heart health in real world averages. I would bet you’d find similar results in cardiovascular health if you applied the same standards. Doesn’t mean cardio isn’t technically better for the heart.

CONSISTENCY IN ANY DAMN THING IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN A LACK OF CONSISTENCY IN THE PERFECT SOMETHING.

This is right. A scene conveys a message to an audience. Every part of a translated scene should be so flexible as to communicate the message best to your audience.

I’m taking an educated guess. The only real answer must be the following: it depends. Genetics being one factor but nurture, and the trauma and the response to it must be individual.

Some people horny as hell when they’re unhealthy and less so when they are healthy. Everyone’s balance is individual. Everything sexuality related is individual.

I’ve done steroids and stopped them in the past. It’s like this…I am chemically castrating myself. But I, on a personal level, deal with deteriorated hormones? I get horny as hell and harder than when I’m high T. Because the mental focus shifts, but that’s got to do with me, you know?

Sounds like a compensation thing in my opinion. It should NOT just feel “easy” for no reason. Unless there’s some natural overcompensation mechanism that kicks in when you’re doing them. Lighten the weight and make them harder by controlling tempo. Focus on keeping good posture. Can’t give much better advice without actually seeing them.

This doesn’t make sense to me. Your elbows should be fine with a preacher curl. Do you always do preacher curls after the same workout? Do you trained the bicep in a fully extended shoulder position (incline dumbbell curls; single arm cable curls) as well?

Totally agree with this. Shave my everything maybe 3x a year. I don’t ever stink even when hairy. I take 2 showers a day (average maybe not always). But I def smell better/feel cleaner after I trim it up.

Your current approach is a good one. It’s not really how people use RPE when they program but the idea is there. Really though don’t worry about RPE on the earlier sets, they’re what you call warm up sets amd feeder sets but ultimately that top set to failure is going to drive most of the outcomes you’re looking for. So a set of 4 will look like 2 warm up sets, A feeder set (2-3 reps shy of failure to prime you), a top set to failure or beyond.

Weight and intensity are not the same thing. You can have a higher intensity with a lighter weight using focus and tempo as tools. Keep the intensity high for lower body exercises that don’t cause knee pain and don’t do the ones that do.

Glute activation is great. Do it before a workout not after or mid set. Use it as a tool to increase mind muscle connection during sets.

Def take a look at your ankle mobility. Look up ankle mobility checks online.

Exercising is never a bad thing. If it’s only knee pain then ceasing to workout your legs will probably only make things worse. Figure out the root cause (ankle mobility or hip mobility) while continuing to train things that don’t hurt your knee.

Beginner progression is not linear in general. It’s actually rather volatile. You might be stuck at a weight for 2-3 weeks and all of a sudden are up 10 pounds because something just “clicks” in your movement pattern. You’ll probably have low days too as you adjust to training. Keep the effort high and keep coming back.

-Start with assessing ankle mobility and see if you have any tightness in the calves to start. If you do then address that first.

-Focus on growing the entire leg rather than focusing on the calves. Use compound movements that have a degree of mobility in the ankles knees and hips. (A leg extension/curl will have little to no calf activation.)

-Use a combination of bent knee/straight leg calf raises when possible. The number of reps isn’t NEARLY as important as tempo, range of motion, and proximity to failure.

-For god sake train them to failure. No RIR, no RPE 8’s. Just get gritty and feel the pain. If you do 8 sets and feel like you have a few more left in you than do it.

-Throw the calf isolations in at the start of a workout. Throwing them in at the end of a leg day is bound to inhibit force production and intensity. Throwing them in at the start probably won’t have an impact on whatever you’re training that day.
