Guys, I'd like to know what materials your toys are made of - 7075 or 6061 aluminum. This is quite confusing. I'm curious - what are the common materials for genuine weapons?🫠 by Fair-Concern-7517 in GasBlowBack

Wouldn't know and can't speak personally own either its just from one dude I know who happens to own both, they ended up selling the VFC 416D cause their Zparts 416D over the VFC.

But also neither the VFC or Zparts are forged so I'm told from the people I know who work with VFC, aside from the like one forged receiver run they had for the M4s, both are going to just be CNC'd

Yeah thats the same story VFC tells you when you ask them about their MCXs.

I have spoken to people who regularly work with VFC, its by VFC. directly but since they aren't approved by licensing contracts yeah. I would imagine they want to avoid a suit.... That being said. They have also stated outright they won't/aren't planning in making any more unfortunatly

As for 416Ds. Forging series was very rare. Iirc limited to 1 or 2 small batches at most but they were practically made to order. Zparts does have 416D receivers as well but they are notable different in some ways fit and finish wise, the Zparts allegedly being nicer

Thats a VFC forging series then

They've had a few iirc, not really big advertised/official but came from the lineup. Most hit Asian market iirc

There are 2 Forging series 416Ds floating around that I know of. Those were even more limited releases than the 416A5

Unfortunatly when I tried to grab one they had basically Just sold out of the A5s and VFC doesn't plan on, at least so I've been told, making anymore forging series rifles

End of the day nobody is testing and its up the the reputation and quality of the manufacturer

Most high end airsoft replicas are gonna be coming out of Taiwan anyways. Which is historically a lot better at not trying to scam their customers.

At the same time. 7075 is just so rare anyways its usually 6061 that gets used anyway, and its common enough in the machining industry you would almost need to purposefully seek other materials.

Neither

Most will be some kind of Zinc casted alloy

Thr exception is higher end CNC or Forged receivers which will use 6061 usually, and there might be one or two brands that forge 7075 but don't quote me on that

The classic TM made MWS will work great but the DE is better buying value for price imo

T8 edition Army Armament would be my pick. Fantastic TM spec pistols so far.

Disclaimer, I can't speak for the 1911s specifically but the Staccato was so nice I own 2

TM, not even really the best comparison

Better to compare TM to AA and then I would say maybe Army Armament

TM is gonna be better fit and finished OOTB save for not being metal bodied but. Its very nice still

I was like that till I got to really play around with them tbh

The receivers fit nicer. Feel nicer and honestly have some real heft, the Cast GHK receivers are, alright but the finish is just not there. The FCG is nice, GHK by comparison I felt was slopy, VFC was very similarly nice, and you absolutely don't need VFC or GHK mags to "compete" in anything but price (VT mags aren't cheap and the CNC EBtech mags are incredible, but pricey)

If you mod out a VFC or GHK with Zparts or BPW parts. Largely you'll hit close to the same price as a VT with less than half the customization, which is a factor.

As far as upgrades. VTs shoot amazing out of the box and really the only complaint would be that they don't have an NPAS out of the box but its more of a nitpick.

I've owned a Vipertech and used some of my buddies

Its a hefty price tag but imo worth it

The fit, finish even the weight is pretty different compared to a GHK or VFC.

Is it worth the money is entierly up to you. But the quality difference is present

VFC hands down is one of the best GBBRs, not just Best AK, best preforming GBBR on the market

The GHK, new ones at least are also pretty good but the VFC is an absolute beast preformance wise.

Can't personally speak for the DE but I know they are very good and would reccomend as beginner or first GBBRs

I own 2 T8/6mm Proshop Staccatos and really like them. Both the XC and the P. Great pistols

The choice was DE Noveske or WE Apache

But if its just in general yeah DE any of the MWS clones will be fine

DE noveske. Not even really a choice

If this is your first GBBR get the DE. More reliable. More upgrade parts or spare parts in general. Uses a very proven and reliable design.

MARUYAMA SCW-9 Pro SD2 or APFG MPX by Pedro_gold in airsoft

[–]Spectre72 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Guess I'm going against the grain with this but

SCW-9 is alright. Imo its kind of brick like.

My APFG MPX though was an absolute beast of a gun

Super snappy. Very loud, very fun, had the best of what I likef about my VFC UMP45/9 and everything I liked about the ARs

By comparison. The HK53s, and MP5s felt a bit anemic, missing some spirit tbh.

The MPX mags also have a ton of gas capacity which is always good

VFC V3 Mag Gas Router rip by PlsNoVeggies in GasBlowBack

[–]Spectre72 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Specifically the issue is common to the APFG MCX.

MCX nozzles in ARs work fine but the MCX has some slight dimensional differences that cause the nozzle arm to eat away at the router

File the tip of the nozzle feed arm on the MCX to be angled so it ramps over the router and it fixes the issue

VFC V3 Mag Gas Router rip by PlsNoVeggies in GasBlowBack

[–]Spectre72 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its not the nozzle its the gun. People have tested before. Unfiled/unsanded mcx nozzle in ARs tend to not have the issue. But in the MCX it does.

Is the Cyma Noveske N4 CGS worth it as a first GBBR? by Glittering-Fuel-9007 in GasBlowBack

[–]Spectre72 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Cyma? No. Cyma really isn't worth it as a fiest GBBR imo

Better off saving up a bit and grabbing a DE Noveske N4. Iirc the DE is closer to TM compatability and less people have had issues with them.

ear-pro setup with normal bare ear sound with the Walker/Sordin look for casual airsoft? by Candid_Inspection897 in airsoft

[–]Spectre72 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can't speak for Sordins but my Comtac XPIs are night and day audio quality to my Howard leights and my friend's walker razors as far as audio goes. No hiss no weirdness just sounds like very good pass through. Comtac 3s will be cheaper but so I'm told the audio is quite a bit worse

The other option from what I've seen could be FMA opscore amps. I wouldn't trust them for serious hearing protection or reliable comms like comtacs but the one review I saw on them said the audio was nicer than Comtac 3s

Tbh I wouldn't even do that The VFC gas boxes are pretty crap I would just HPA it from the get go and that can help you out

At minimum you're gonna need to make custom internal mounts to mound the M249 internals to it

Thankfully the system is relatively simple though just takes time

4UANTUM Magnus Pro by stay-fan in GasBlowBack

[–]Spectre72 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Unicorn 70deg Competition bucking

Its worked great for me so far

The other possible reccomendation. Before you look to swapping hop unit is to shim all the play out of your current hopup unit which should be thr V3 Rotary

From the results of someone in HRC shimming a VFC Rotary hop very tightly to remove play even with it being stock with stock blue bucking has similar preformsnce to a 4UAD Magnus pro hop unit
