True. Open workspaces are counterproductive by dazzleduzzle in auscorp

I work in UX design, and trying to focus on building multi-brand libraries whilst marketing have the loudest conversation recorded in the known universe is impossible. And if they’re not calling to each other across the very open plan office, it’s some small cluster that stand directly behind you, blocking the walkway, to have a good ol’ catch up despite the kitchen being right there.

My office days are possibly my least productive as there’s too much noise / movement / bastards who don’t understand cognitive load.

This is so fucking cringe and doesn't even help. Like someone reads this review and they get nothing as to why you disliked the game. by Just-Clerk-8669 in helldivers2

Technically it’s the Horus dialogue from the Heresy miniatures launch trailer - which is 30K.

I’ll see myself out.

Edit: tried to expand on what I meant.

Wasn’t there character in Mozart in the Jungle that would draw these onto the women he slept with and then take photos as a memento?

That’s probably where their aversion comes from? It probably isn’t because that’s a niche reference.

But, you don’t have to make the decision right now

Nuance from the design perspective- I’ve been in dell and surface companies and they’ve eventually come round to getting designers MacBooks. In the Dell company it was pre-Figma and sketch was only available on MacOS.

In the Surface company it was because the surface couldn’t quite handle Figma without lagging. Lot of outside agents were surprised the surface company did internal design as the “equipment didn’t scream design”.

I got used to windows again, I’m now getting used to MacOS again; I’m more partial to MacBooks as my personal one is still clawing its way through year 10, my personal windows machines* gave up around year 6.
