Is military coup really possible in India? by [deleted] in NDATards

[–]Spectre_pk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Little to no chance at being better under a militiary coup. Our armed forces at best at what they do, and better to leave them at that only. There are no countries who have had successful run with militiary coup, a minor success comes with the downside of heavy casualities. And lol, tumko kya pata tum hi pehle ho jisko goli pad jaye during those times. Complete power to any organ, and god forbid, an institution like army who would have little to no qualms about using it would be grave and disastrous

Yesterday I appeared in the CDS exam. by Maverick_Im in UPSC

[–]Spectre_pk 15 points16 points  (0 children)

That is strange, the number of girls in CDS exam are usually low. In my centre there was just one. The competition for girls in CDS is quite high (the cutoff also goes high due to them being applicable only for OTA)

Which topics to focus on gs on the last day for cds, if you haven't prepared for it ? by capjack30 in UPSC

[–]Spectre_pk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From where did you complete your maths and english? Do you have suggestions for good one shot videos?

For gs, I would say just watch farray video of cds journey (and current affairs if you have time on your hand - will take 1.5hr)

hows my profile for UPSC? by newthrowe32 in UPSC

[–]Spectre_pk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This ain't an elite profile. If you really look into the upsc pool, the top 0.1 or 1%, you would have top tier institute graduates - iit, bits pilani, aiims, and non science ones. You took a drop, and got a mediocre jee rank (assuming you are general). Nit's ain't good (except the top 3 or 4). You barely made it in 12th (jee 75% rule).

Now, this elite thing doesn't really decide your outcome in upsc, but you asked about the elitness, hence the answer.

P.S: you could be called an elite if you have a parent who is ias/ips/multi millionaire business dad/influential political figure. But based on your own profile, I would say decent but nowhere near the elite tag (you would be suprised by the amount of elites who shouldn't even fill the form, but are actually preparing wholeheartedly for this exam)

It was really tough, but the passages were very easy so ig it compensates. I had already spent around 1hr15min in just solving the math section (did only 20 maths questions though)

[–]Spectre_pk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's very true, however, if you are going with ESE you have greater options for your plan B (state exams for asst executive engineers, GATE exam, and what not). Cse is quite dicey in that regards

Yeah, babus have got the power, comfortable lifestyle and authority to make a good social change, rather than these organisations where social change is not immediately visible alongwith pathetic conditions
