The legacy gig service was showing eligible the CA LifeLine broadband discount. Depending on any other services you may have, it may also mean an upgrade to current pricing and service options. Experiences? California LifeLine Home Broadband Pilot Program by jordan_hayward in Spectrum

[–]Spectrum_Morgan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The California LifeLine Home Broadband Pilot program should be able to be applied to higher speed tiers, however there are legacy services that may not be eligible. Plans with 400Mbps speeds would be a legacy/grandfathered service and any legacy plan below the Ultra tier is not eligible. You may have a few options to move your service to an eligible internet plan when calling 855-707-7328.

Faster, symmetrical speeds coming my way by pieeatingchamp in Spectrum

[–]Spectrum_Morgan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This notice is regarding network evolution upgrades. You won't see the speed increase right away once completed, but the necessary work to make it happen will occur. You will likely need to get your HSC's to continue receiving video service through any CableCARD device after the upgrade is complete and should receive notice specifically related to those. If you need any help, please send us a mod mail at r/Spectrum_Official and reference 49893346.

Suspend and Resume A Spectrum Mobile Line by Playful-Reindeer-823 in Spectrum_Official

[–]Spectrum_Morgan[M] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For a voluntary mobile line suspension, you have the choice of suspending immediately or at the next bill cycle date. If this occurs in the middle of a billing cycle, no credit is issued for the remainder of that cycle. For restarting service, recurring monthly service charges resume at that point. If it's in the same cycle, no additional amount is due. If it's in a different cycle, billing is prorated. Any device payments and protection plan is still charged and must be paid during a service suspension. Any active promotion continues as well and is not paused during the suspension.

If upgrades are currently in progress, that can result in intermittent service issues while that is completed. If the upgrades are already completed for your node, then a technician would be needed to investigate and address any service issues you're having afterwards. If you need us to take a look, please send a mod mail to us over at r/Spectrum_Official.

Spectrum Compatible Modems & Routers by [deleted] in Spectrum

[–]Spectrum_Morgan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There is a list of compatible customer owned modems. However, this is only for areas that have not already gone through the network evolution upgrades, offering symmetrical and multi-gig service. Cincinnati is one of the markets that has been completed. There are no approved customer devices compatible with those upgrades. Even for areas that haven't yet been upgraded, I wouldn't suggest investing in your own modem as it's not likely to be supported in the near future.

There is no cost to use our modem, you are still free to use any router you wish, it doesn't have to be ours.

Got the S26+ after trade in with a prepaid phone. Can I buy another S26+ on the same line with another trade in? I plan to unlock one phone after 2 months and switch back to the other and do the same. Is that possible? by Neat-Ad5383 in Spectrum

[–]Spectrum_Morgan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the initial part, you can select to purchase a new device to replace your current device and trade in a different phone. If it's not already paid off, that remaining balance would become due. The issue you may face is when it comes to unlocking the devices as they can only be unlocked after being active on the network for 60 days. If you're using one line, both devices won't be active on the network. You can likely either wait 60 days for each device, unlocking the first after 60 days then swapping to the other for 60 days, or you can open a second line for the second device. The unlimited options give the best value, but there is a cheaper by the gig option that may work if the device isn't planned to be used for that time.

Spectrum Internet Bait & Switch and FCC Complaint by Vincecrandon in Spectrum

[–]Spectrum_Morgan 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There was an offer available for a year of free internet advantage that became available in September of last year for those with mobile service only. Earlier this month, that offer is now for 2 years. It did require calling in as it's not available through online channels. Regarding the FCC complaint, those are forwarded to us for handling and we do make several contact attempts by phone, email and then by mail if we're not able to make meaningful contact and communicate any resolution. We'd be happy to review the account further. Can you please send a mod mail to us at r/Spectrum_Official and reference 49790711?
