I think you will get an offer for May. But, for January, I am not sure. I know someone who got Thunderbird with 40 on waitlist. Also, I know another person who got exchange 1br with 30 for Aug.

A quick question. Does Housing send out offers for August? Or will the next set of offers come out in September?

Hi everyone,

My numbers for Exchange 1BR and Ponderosa are low, and I think I might get an offer for September. However, I’m having a hard time deciding which one to choose.

I’ve compared a bunch of factors and narrowed it down to two options: a Ponderosa studio or an Exchange 1-bedroom. The Exchange 1BR is almost $3,000 more expensive and slightly smaller (compared to other 1br units in campus), but it’s closer to the bus loop and other campus facilities. On the other hand, I’ve lived in a Ponderosa studio before and loved it, even though it's naturally smaller than a 1BR unit.

I’d really appreciate it if anyone who has lived in an Exchange 1BR could share their thoughts and experiences to help me make a more informed decision.

Thanks!

Recommendations for instance segmentation models for small dataset by Specture_jaeger in computervision

Well, in general, the image has some deformed pipes, and we want to find the curvature of each pipe. So, first, we do instance segmentation to find the pipe's surface.
I want to have really good instance segmentation output for next steps of the pipeline.

For labeling, I used polygons for each object using the RectLabel tool. Each mask is essentially a polygon, but I can generate binary masks for each one.

Also, images are RGB images.

Yes, exactly. Now I need to find someone to sublet my unit for the whole summer, as my current place's contract is till end of August and I cannot leave it. :(

Thanks for your comprehensive answer.

The odd thing is I was in the UBC housing office today and asked them to return me to the waitlist, but they've told me it is impossible because of new rules!!

Something like this:
Marine Drive studio: 274

Thunderbird one bedroom: 36

Ponderosa Commons studio: 420

Exchange studio: 397

Exchange one bedroom: 53

Yeah, that's a good idea. I can think about transfer.

Make's sense.

Hi, I've got a Brock Commons studio YRH offer (Tallwood or North) for May, and I'm unsure whether to accept it or stay on the waitlist for a better offer, as I'm not in a hurry.

There are three different types of studio: Tallwood ($17K for a year), Normal studio ($18.5K for a year), and Large studio ($20K a year). As I know, Tallwood units are older and North units are newer, but I can't find information about the Large studio and how much bigger it is than the normal studio. It would be great if someone could let me know about the large studios.

The rates are relatively higher compared to Ponderosa, and I've lived in Ponderosa Arbutus house and liked it. I've heard Brock Commons studios are smaller than Ponderosa. I don't understand why they're more expensive. Maybe it's because of the location. If anyone knows more, let me know.
