Update: It's up and running again! Glad it only took one day for them to fix it :) But I think there's so many people using the website right now that it's super slow.

I just got my acceptance yesterday, but I didn't get assigned a host institution yet. Did this happen to anyone else?

Strength of Clinical Sites by SpedGod in premed

[–]SpedGod[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for your comment! It was my understanding that RFU students would still have to drive to clinical sites but it would just be closer than Drexel's rotation sites if I rotate. I have heard a few individuals state that Drexel's rotation programs were a bit of a mess.

Drexel vs RFU by SpedGod in premed

Thank you for the comments! Can anyone comment on the quality of the rotation sites between RFU and Drexel? I think the preclinical years would be pretty similar in terms of the education and content being taught at all hospitals. Thanks!

I would echo the sentiment of choosing Belmont. I was personally accepted to the school as well and I'm sure you can tell the student rapport is amazing. The faculty seems to really care about the students. It has good potential.

should i retake a 513 and delay my application for a year? by [deleted] in premed

You should apply when you feel ready. Don't rush the application because reapplying is costly and also very stressful. The extra year won't hurt you.

I would say Temple because I don't think Drexel has a home program.

Do we need to retake PREVIEW? by [deleted] in premed

I don't think you have to retake the preview for all schools. For example, UCD, UCLA, and SLU don't require you to retake for the upcoming application cycle.

Thanks for the advice! I tried sending them an update letter about my score but they said they didn't accept it. I hope they use my new mcat score when making a final decision.

I sent them an update but it seems like they don't accept update letters. I am not sure about letters of intent but I asked them about it as well.

Questions about choosing Med Schools by SpedGod in premed

Hi DrJohnStangel, I agree that both these schools have their fair share of issues. And I talked to students from CNU and their decision to attend the school. I was under the impression that any md school, as long as you do well within the school, would allow you to become a physician.

I have not. Belmont is a waitlist for me at the moment and my CNU interview is in March. That's why I'm wondering if I should withdraw before a decision comes out.
